The Incident

Lizzy pov

Bored, that is how I am feeling, bored. I was in the living room and I was not allowed to do anything, because I was grounded, because I got into a fight with some boy at school but he deserved it for always tripping me and pulling my hair so I am not allowed to do anything, I'm lucky to have kept my phone but that was charging in my room and Manny was at a sleepover so I couldn't do anything with him then Mom walked in "Hola I'm home, did Manny call?" Mom asks as I walk into the kitchen "No because he's fine, he was at a slumber party, not a gang fight." Dad says "I just want him to fit in, maybe she should have sent Lizzy with him." Mom says "No for two reasons, 1) it is a boy slumber party 2) she is grounded, she is lucky to have her phone." Dad says saying that the last part directly to me, I rolled my eyes and went to get a soda from the fridge "I'm going to take a shower, you want to join me?" Mom says to dad "There is a gun in the footlocker in the garage, If I ever say no to that, use it on me" dad says and they went upstairs "Is there something in there I could use to forget that?" I ask cringed just then a bird crashed into the window, uh oh.

//The Incident, I remember almost every detail of that day, I was the flower girl and I wore the second most beautiful dress that day, after mom's wedding dress, It was a beautiful white dress with a floral pattern on it, anyway the ceremony was beautiful and then we were at the reception and then things took a turn for the worse, Dede was getting drunk then started to say mean things about mom and dad and then she got so drunk that she started to mock Gloria and had to be carried out, mom hates Dede for that day because she ruined her wedding//

A few hours later, I was eating a sandwich when Manny walked in "Mom I'm home" Manny says and mom went over to ask about his sleepover when I saw what has happened there, those idiots decided to draw a beard on his face, Now I wish I went so I could to kick their asses, dad says that this is boys being boys and that Manny has to prank them back harder and better.

I asked if I could go with to help with the revenge but dad says no because I am grounded, so I decided to change into my one-piece blue swimsuit and do a couple of laps in the pool while dad relaxes in the hot tub, I swim all the time to keep fit, after my laps, I got out to dry and I saw Mitchell was here and was talking to dad so I went to say hi "hey Mitchell, what brings you over?" I said "oh I'm just telling dad that my mom is in town and wants to apologise for what happened at the wedding" Mitchell says "Oh Dede is here" I say in an upsetting voice

Jay pov

//if you think Gloria is furious at Dede about the wedding, Lizzy hates Dede with every fibre in her body because when Lizzy was younger, Dede had met and that night when I thought Lizzy was sleeping, she overheard Dede call her mom a whore and Lizzy found out what the word meant she wanted to kill Dede//

Lizzy pov

"I'll try to behave but I can't promise I will" I said and dad then starts to pretend this conversation never and start joining in but Mitchell was not getting the hint "Mitchell you were not here today in fact what's happening right now is your at home, I'm swimming some more laps and dad is taking a nap" I said before I dive back into the pool and I stick my head I see he left and I started to swim again.

It was now time for the dinner and we were waiting at the door to let in. Phil then open the door and we walked in and we saw Dede "Dede" dad says "Hi Jay, Gloria" Dede says "what is she doing here?" Mom asks "what does she mean, Mitchell told you I'd be here in" Dede says "Lies!" Mom says, but I started to cut out everyone Because I was seeing red and I was about to attack her but I was held by Jay "Jay, Lizzy, Manny, let's go " mom says and we were about to leave but Dede stops us and tries to apologize but I stopped listening Again because I saw red again and was being held back by mom this time so I don't attack but then Dede started to attack mom and I caught in between them and everyone was trying to separate them, after I escaped and we separated the two women Dede tried apologizing again but mom wouldn't believe her and was trying to attack her again but we held her back, but Phil was being weird when he was holding mom "I don't know what just happened?" Dede says then Haley's boyfriend Dylan started to speak "I do, I mean it seems pretty simple to me. You're reaching out, trying to hold on to something awesome." Dylan says and Haley was trying to stop him from speaking but he carried on "Look, look, look. Im not used to this- the whole big family thing, in my house we don't even talk to each other. You know, it's funny- the first time I saw Haley, I knew I liked her, I'm mean she's beautiful and everything, but it's not only that it's that she's got this killer confidence- you know the kind of confidence, that you get from having a family-like this... A family that's passionate and accepting of hot foreigners and gay dudes and nutty people and a girl who looks ready to kill, you know a family that actually loves each other" Dylan says and then Claire suggests Dylan play a song and Dylan was going to sing he wrote for Haley, Dylan started singing and it was beautiful and I was standing next to dad starting to calm down and see less red until Dylan starting singing about doing it with Haley and dad was holding me close to his chest and covered my ear that was open while he glared at Dylan.

The next day I was playing outside with my soccer ball and I was singing Dylan's song "Baby I just do you, do you, Baby do you want to do me, do me" I sang while doing some freestyle.

A/n: here is the next chapter and a small spoiler but Dede has not apologised to Lizzy yet but will do it but I have a plan on how she will.

Next chapter info: Lizzy gets into a fight with Luke and Manny and Gloria and Lizzy have a heart to heart.
