The date is the 18th of November 2042 and Connor is patiently sitting at his desk, waiting for his partner Hank Anderson to arrive at the precinct. Connor was extremely patient with Hank as more recently he was slowly becoming weaker in his field due to his age, which motivated Connor to work for the two of them. Hank arrived a few minutes later, holding a plastic bag which seemed to be carrying something. "Connor." Hank groaned, walking over to the android sitting at the desk. "Yes Lieutenant?" asked the android, rising from its chair and standing opposite the human. "I got you... a gift.", Hank proceeded to hand Connor the plastic bag, the material rustling as Connor held it close to itself. It then proceeded to open the bag, revealing a red, leather bound journal. "A Journal, Thank you Hank, what do you wish for me to do with it?". Hank then handed the android a pen and a pencil. "I dunno, write, draw, its just something to stop you from sitting there like a dead body."
The android thanked the human once more, sitting at its desk and opening to the first page, the human also sat down at his desk, logging in quietly to his computer. "Lieutenant, I understand humans write diaries, I'm going to start logging down our investigations in such a way." The android stated suddenly to the human opposite it, "Okay... you don't have to tell me.. That's the point of the book." The android nodded, writing 'Property of Connor, The Android Sent By Cyberlife' On the inside cover of the book. He then turned to the first page, beginning to write
Hello, my name is Connor, The Android Sent By Cyberlife,
I have been given this journal by Lieutenant Anderson
and I have been instructed to write and or draw inside of the pages.
Hank looked up at the android as it placed the book back down onto the table. "Have fun?" He asks, looking at the androids blank expression. "I Appreciate it Lieutenant, and I was meaning to ask, do we have any missions today? So I know if I should take the journal with me." The android replied, tapping the desk gently. "Do whatever, I don't care." The Lieutenant replied blandly, glancing at the Android. Hank then proceeded to do whatever he was doing on his computer. "Alright Lieutenant", The android looks at its computer, proceeding to look through the files. The files were quite old, the rate of crime had seemingly begun to slowly fall due to the more advanced models being released. Connor is a prototype, but was never deactivated when the new models were released, the reason was never explained to anyone at the precinct, but it was thought that Connor was keeping Hank alive.
Connor stumbled across a file on a blue haired Traci, its appearance was somewhat interesting to Connor, so he reached for his journal and began swiftly drawing the image of the Android. As it finished it smiled gently at the page, closing the book and placing it back down on the desk. Time seemed to be flying, the end of its shift was minutes away, it stood, walking beside Hank and stating "My working hours end in approximately 7 minutes, I will now return to my station." Hank grunted in return, standing and walking to the break area, pressing a few buttons on the Coffee machine. "The copper finally getting to you?" A random voice entered, it was Gavin, Gavin Reed. "God I don't need you here too.." Hank replied, taking his coffee and slowly walking back to his desk. Gavin smirked and returned back to his, just as the speaker announced the time, explaining that they could go home.
As Hank walked past Connor, who was now at a terminal, kindly spoke to him, "Goodnight Lieutenant, I hope you get a good nights rest." Hank sighed in return, sipping his coffee and leaving the building, Gavin soon did the same, hitting the Android on his way past, "Tin can."
