The sound of classical music fills my ears as I wake up. I look around to see that Sae-byeok was sleeping next to me. I also realize that the only thing they cleaned yesterday were the bodies. Wherever you looked, you could see blood.
"Gosh, I can't believe these people don't care to clean up the blood." I say, disgusted
"Well, we'll probably be seeing a lot more of that." Sang-woo says, looking at me.
"The third game will begin momentarily." The PA woman says. "Follow the staff's instructions and proceed to the game hall." The red shape people then walk in, ready to escort us.
"Didn't we just wake up? It's not fair that they just make us play right away." Sae-byeok says, sounding sleepy.
As they line us up to enter the next room, I steal a glance at the wall. From where I am, I can see that the picture shows people pulling on a rope, resembling tug of war. "If we go up against 101's team, we're dead." I think to myself as I enter the colorful room.
----------
Once we're done walking up the colorful stairs, my eyes are practically blinded as we enter a white room. I'm standing in between Ali and 001, so I decide to talk to Ali.
"Hey, what do you think this bright room is for?" I ask, looking around while walking down stairs. "Why would we play tug of war in here?" I think
"I'm not very familiar with Korean games, so I don't really know." says Ali, genuinely confused.
"This game will be played as a team. All players, please divide into teams of ten. You have ten minutes, ten minutes." The PA woman says.
I quickly count the number of heads our team has. 001, Gi-hun, Sang-woo, Ali, Sae-byeok, and me. We currently have six people. The other people we gather should be strong, to even it out.
Once our team is off the stairs, Gi-hun says,"If the game is played in teams of ten, maybe it's tail tag, or why did you come to my house."
I look over at Sae-byeok, hoping she understands what I'm trying to ask. I realize she does when she slowly shakes her head then looks away.
"If it's tail tag, we need to be fast. And if it's why did you come to my house, it's just rock paper scissors. What should we do?" says Gi-hun, looking at Sang-woo.
"We already have an elderly man and two women, so the rest needs to be all men." Sang-woo says, clearly not reading the room.
"What if they make us play Elastics or Gonggi? Women are better at those." Gi-hun states
"Thats true, but probability wise, men are better at most games." Sang-woo says, finally ticking me off.
I'm about to say something when Ali says, "We only need four more people lets split up, and four of us can bring one person."
We decide that the old man will stay behind, seeing that someone most likely won't want to join his team. I try to follow Sae-byeok, but she rushes ahead of me, avoiding me.
"Thats...weird." I think. I wonder what I could've done when I remember what I should be doing, finding a team member.
I end up stumbling across a man that seems to be..praying. I tap him on the shoulder and he stars jumping in the air.
"The lord has answered my prayers! I've found a team!" he says, grabbing my hands.
"Oh..how'd you know I was gonna ask?" I say, awkwardly
