     Nora woke up to a lonely bed. She frowned already missing shade but knew he had matters to attend to. He tried to keep the days they didn't wake up together at a limit as they both loved to see eachother in the morning. Nora got up getting dressed and going to the kitchen. Since becoming king shade had a private house in the woods built for them. Only one messenger who was allowed to come and unless someone was invited it stayed quiet. They still lived near the castle for obvious protection and travel time reasons. They owned their own live stock and lived more like common folk then royals and the kingdom loved them.

    The people started calling their rein the "golden years" as things were changing for the better all the time since they came to the throne. Nora walked out of the house after grabbing a basket from the kitchen and went out to go collect the chicken eggs and let the animals out. She got all the eggs opening the coops to their pen and leaving the gate open so they could wander the woods eating bugs and plants in their path. They had all sorts of colors of chickens some white and black, others beautiful brown shades, one even completely black beak to feet. Their meat chickens had their own coop next to the egg chickens. She opened their door aswell allowing them to come out with the other chickens to flock. She walked out of the pen over to the goat barn letting them out into their own pen and checking the auto feeder for clogs or debris.

   Next came the reptile house opening the door there were large enclosures the reptile house almost the size of their actual house filled with large and small reptiles some running wild around the room. Mourning geckos greeted anyone to walk in with quick reactions of running off. They ate flies and escaped feeders the large snakes each had beautiful naturalistic enclosures fit to each one of them. There was a huge rat colony cage with babies and happy rats playing and resting as they please. Topping up food to who needed fed she then went to the second level to see mr.iguana the iguana. And their doves and macow. The macow had its own room since it would attack the iguana even if it didn't mean to. Soon animal chores were done. She went back inside with the eggs and put them away but kept a few out to cook with. She grabbed some potatoes from their farm out of the fridge to make hash browns. Soon breakfast was done and she was jsut waiting around for shade to be done working. Their puppy ran over to play. It was totally a wolf but who cares. It happily chased a fluffy ball around the large living room.

     It was getting boring waiting for shade and she debated leaving to go find him at the castle.

     Shade was getting annoyed as well. His "advisors" were trying to ell him his reforms we're causing anger among the civilians when he knew that wasn't true it simply caused issues for the nobles who would have to actually pay employees and be fair. He basically told them to piss off and eventually just stood up. "alright here's what I'm going to do. Nothing because this is bullshit." He said before walking out leaving everyone stunned. Those who agreed with him were laughing as he left. He walked out and back down to the stables determined to get home without anymore annoyances.

   He got on the horse and rode it back to the house happy to be home. He pet the goats after letting the horse into the field. He snuck inside silently. He could hear Nora humming in the kitchen mostlikely making lunch. The smell of steaks wafted in the air. He snuck up to their bedroom opening his desk to grab a small grinder and bowl. He packed the bowl before taking a few hits. It helped mellow him out as he suffered from stress and anxiety. Being king was tough. His tail gently swooshed back and forth as he stalked down the stairs. He walked into the kitchen undetected as her back was turned to the food she was cooking. He watched as she cooked for a few moments until she was close enough to done where he wouldn't be interrupting the cooking. He snuck up slowly without detection then curled an arm around her suddenly pulling her close to him.
