Nora was a young nature goddess who was learning her scope of power and control over nature. As time went on her subjects, primarily bird and reptilian critters, were migrating to different soils. As most goddess do she followed them finding shade. He built a small Cottage in a clearing with a fresh water stream. When he saw Nora across the stream he waved happily.

She blushed slightly waving slightly. He went inside leaving her alone. She could see bird houses and dens made all around the house and quickly observed many of her animal friends had been living here. She creeped closer to the Cottage. There was a nice smell in the air. It made Nora hungry. There was an open window to the kitchen and a bush viper sat on the sill. They were sassy and it stayed in a strike position. "Knock it off." Shade said in a Stern voice. At first Nora thought it was to her but soon the bush viper relaxed going inside. "Yaknow you can come in. Don't gotta just stand out there." The voice called again. Nora blushed slightly she thought she'd been sneaky. She went around the front opening the door. She was greeted by a raccoon offering to take her bag. She smiled allowing it to take the bag of essentials she carried on her journey. The smell was much stronger in the house. "Are you hungry? The owls said you haven't been eating well."

Nora blushed even more glaring at the owls. They just cooed back happily. She huffed "they never even told me you existed." She said quietly. He looked at her and smiled "oh sorry that's probably my fault don't really like people walking into my land." He said. "Oh i-im sorry." She said. He frowned slightly. "Your no bother though really. It's nice to have guests sometimes." He smiled. "Especially a goddess of nature." He said. She nodded shyly. He walked to the kitchen and she followed happily. "I'm making a Shepard's pie if you'd like some." He said happily. There were plants and herbs growing even through the counter.

"Are you...an elf?" She asked. Grazing her hand over a soft plant. He nodded "yep! Genuine nature elf." He said bringing the pie out. He set it on the counter turning around to grab some side dishes. He set them out. "Hope you like it. It's an honor to have you for dinner." He said in a way that seemed weirdly suggestive. She blushed smiling. "it's an honor to be here uh...you never told me your name." She noted. "I'm guessing my owls informed you of mine." She said softly sitting down at the small table. "Oh my bad! It's shade." He said softly. They began eating as shade asked questions about being a god relating to nature. Most nature elves derive their powered from nature gods so of course he had questions.

"I've heard nature gods can make the most beautiful flowers." He said smiling. She nodded. "I don't think they're that great." She said softly. He chuckled, "then you undervalue what you can do." He said softly. It stayed quiet for a moment before shade went on. "If you'd like you can stay the night. Lots of coyotes around here. They are ruled by no one." He stated. "Oh that's very nice of you..thank you." She said happily. She got up to help shade clean off the table but he insisted on doing it himself. As the daylight ran out they watched a movie together in the cottage relaxing happily. They asked questions back and forth enjoying the time they were spending together. Soon Nora fell asleep. And shade smiled grabbing a blanket and putting it around her before heading it bed.

When she woke up she found shade nowhere to be found. A note on the fridge read "I'll be back around midday. Tending to animals down the creek. Make yourself at home :)" She smiled happily before explored a bit. There were plants and animals everywhere. Geckos on the walls and in the window sills soaking up the morning sun. She walked to a door opening it finding a closet. It had some old enclosures in it. She left finding yet another door. She opened it and it was shades room. She felt she shouldn't be in there but curiosity killed the cat. She began looking around and everything was relatively normal. She opened a door assuming it's be the bathroom and found a closet full of very interesting items.
