Despite having one front light barely work, a car still moves fast on the night street.
Jisoo pushes the gas pedal even more as her hands control the steering wheel while on the seat beside her lays her lifeless phone that has email Jennie sent her. Before they left this morning Jisoo asked her little sister to do some research about Minho's family. From their experience, doing some research about people who close to the ghost is always useful somehow. Not to mention Jennie also already used to help them at something like this. That girl already knows what to do.
The car enters a familiar apartment building and Jisoo quickly parks it. She immediately takes off the seatbelt but then she stops as hesitation comes to her. She lets out a sigh.
"Mr. Lee."
Jisoo's voice echoes in the small space.
"I know we've never seen each other face to face. I know how you look like from photos but that's different with really see you." Jisoo lets out a breath. "We never properly talk either but despite all of that I already feel like we're friends."
This time the girl smiles a little. "This is maybe a little silly but I think you don't need to really see their faces or hear their voices to be friend with somebody. As long as there's some connection, as long as there's some understanding, we always can be friend with somebody." She lets out a chuckle. "That's just my opinion though. You don't need to agree."
Without waiting for anything anymore, Jisoo then opens the door and gets out, oblivious of an old man ghost that smile warmly at her.
Jisoo hits the bell hard with a finger. After few seconds with no door opened, she hits the bell again. Yet the door that lead to Cho's residence still doesn't open. Jisoo is about to hit the bell again but before she's able to do that the door opens slightly and Mrs. Cho comes into view.
"Hello, ma'am," greets Jisoo. "We meet again. Is your husband at home?"
There's a suspicious look in the woman's eyes and the slightly opened door doesn't move even an inch, giving Jisoo no place to enter. Yet the woman still answers, "No, he's at work."
"At the harbor?"
The suspicious look grows slightly as Mrs. Cho answers again, "No, at the headquarters."
So he isn't at home then. That's a good thing. Jisoo quickly grabs the door handle and tries trying to yank the door open. Unfortunately, those actions make Mrs. Cho's guard turns high and the woman immediately resists.
"I need your help, ma'am! My friend is in danger!" Jisoo yells as they fight for the opened door. "And I think I know where your son is!!"
The last sentence is enough to stop Mrs. Cho from everything she's doing. Jisoo can see the woman's eyes grow wide and her hand that hold the handle begins to slacken.
"I'm sorry for being too forward," Jisoo says with softer tone than before while Mrs. Cho's eyes never leave the former's face. "But my friend is in danger, I need your help, and I think I know where you son is."
"You do?"
The brown haired girl nods before she tilts her head to the room behind Minho's mother. "Can we talk inside?"
There are seconds of hesitation but then the woman meekly opens the door more. Jisoo quickly takes her chance and takes steps deeper into the apartment. She waits patiently for Mrs. Cho to close the door before she turns her body to faces the woman. Jisoo's eyes look straight to the woman who's much older than her.
"Say, Mrs. Cho, do you believe in ghost?"

"I'm already okay now, sir. Thank you."
