Steves POV

It's been weeks. Things have been absolutely quiet around the house. The day after I came back from the Nether, Notch spoke to me again.
The only thing he said was, "Stay away from him. He's a monster, and in the end, he'll only end up hurting you."
I didn't have a chance to talk, since he just disappeared swiftly.
It did set me though. If Herobrine wants me this bad, then why would he hurt me? He doesn't seem like such a monster.

After weeks of thinking about what Notch said, I began questioned how Herobrine acts when I'm not around. Just my luck, I can hear screaming from the nearby villages.
I dash out of my house and to the village. When I get there, I can see flames. Black smoke puffs dangerously through the sky, and villagers are running past me, screaming, terrified of what's behind them.
As I step closer I can see him. He's holding a village up by his shirt.
That evil grin, the nasty looking purple aura surround him, and those twisted, cold, heartless blank eyes. This is the monster everyone knows.
This is the monster everybody fears.
All I can do is stand in terror and stare at him.
However, he quickly throws the villager down, and approaches me, his voice deep, and his eyes narrow.
"Steven? What are doing here?"
I freeze, but soon feel the anger kick in.
"What are doing?! Is this your idea of fun?! You are monster!"

I can see his teeth grit against one another.
With the snap of his fingers, a cold rain comes, putting out the flames. The sky is dark, and to make matters worse, Notch appears behind him as he reaches a hand out to me.

I am thrown back, looking up to see Herobrine take a stance at Notch.
"Oh great, what do you want?"
"To show Steve just how evil you are."
I see Herobrines eyes flick to me, then back to Notch.
"You dirty little shit."
With that comment, Notch lunges at him. I watch them fight, punching and kicking each other so hard that it would kill a human like me. I flinch at every growl, and watch as Herobrine finally knocks him backwards. Notch them floats just above the ground, and shoots golden lightning at Herobrine. Herobrine shoots that blackish purple aura back to the lightning, which causes an explosion. I can't see anything. However, as my vision comes back, I can see Herobrine on the ground, and Notch ready to shoot him.

I had no control. I literally ran and stood in front of Herobrine. Notch quickly stopped, putting his hands down.
"Steve?"
My words are slowly uttered out.
"N-no...please. I don't want him to die."
Notch pauses for a few moments. Then he smiles sweetly.
"Very well. I will respect your decision. If you ever want to get away from this monster, just come find me."
He vanishes, leaving me alone, in the rain, with Herobrine. I turn around, screaming at the top of my lungs.
"What the hell?! I thought he couldn't kill you?!"
I can hear his deep chuckle, and as I look up, his body slowly melts into blackish purple goo. My heart sinks, but quickly thuds as his real body teleports in front of me.

"I was never in any danger. However, if I was, you would have saved me."
I feel my cheeks getting hot, but I'm far from happy.

"You deserve to die...you destroyed the village."
He justifies himself.
"I didn't kill anyone and I put the flames out..."
I turn around, crossing my arms.
"Ugh, if it bothers you that bad, I'll rebuild the village...exactly like it was before."

His voice was disapproving, but I knew he meant it.
"Can I help?"
I ask, and he looks at me with a surprised stare. He then snaps his fingers, causing the rain to stop.
"Sure, you can help by giving me a kiss to get started."

I give him a glare, but instantly give in, kissing him softly.

When the kiss breaks, I can see that smirk. He's truly twisted, and yet, I kinda like this side of him.
