*steves pov*

All eyes are on me as I step into the castle. My eyes are locked on Notch as I walk through the crowd.
"You said you were prepared!"
I point my finger at him, not caring if he's our creator. Notch gives me a shocked look but stands to his feet and walks to me.
"You're right Steve. I should have listened to you. Now I understand what you were telling me. Do not worry anymore."
He turns to face the entire crowd.
"Herobrine will fall!"
With hands raised in the air, the crowd was ready to attack. This will be the end of that monster.

*Herobrines POV*

I retreated to my castle. After hitting and kicking various objects in the castle, I lay on my bed and sigh. I can't I've become so soft. I let Steve live. The worst part is that I cannot explain why I let him live. That little brat has been in my way this whole time and yet I cannot seem to get rid of him. Maybe Steven is more important than the Minecraft World. Maybe that's why I cannot seem to kill him off. I take a deep breath and let it out slowly. As soon as I close my eyes, one of the wither skeletons run into my room.
"Sir, we have a war!"
I jump up, and respond, shocked.
"W-what?"
"Notch has come to the nether, and he's brought an army!"
I quickly follow the guard to the castle entrance. Notch as his men are standing not too far from my castle. Men are still pouring out of the portal I made for Steve. My jaw drops a bit.
"Shit."
I mumble as the army charges to the castle. Swiftly, I dash into the castle, letting my guards do the fighting. I summon up other mobs as I run to the very end of the castle. There, in the doorway, is Steven.
I stop a good few feet away and speak sweetly.
"Ah, Steven, are you the cause of this?"
His blue eyes scan me, then lower.
"Why didn't you kill me?"
I pout at the question.
"W-why? I don't know Steven, and I don't have time for this. You brought an army to my castle."

"I didn't bring them, Notch did. Now answer me! I deserve that much."

I narrow my eyes.
"I will teleport, I do not have to answer you."
Steve growls a bit.
"Herobrine, please. I just want to know why. Please answer me."

I cannot resist.
I walk up to him, even though he's shaking. Without another thought, I kiss him. As we part, I speak, giving him the answer he wants.

"I love you. That's why I cannot kill you or let you die no matter the costs."

Without another word, I teleport away from him.
