Firefly [Levi x Suicidal Reader]

Chapter 9

(Y/N) POV:

Levi and I enjoyed the silence and sat in front of the pond for an entire hour without any word spoken. Somehow it was something that I really needed. I thought about various things. I didn't know what went through Levi's mind but he looked relaxed and was happy with the situation he was in.

If anyone of the ones who are inside really wanted me to be there, they would have seek out for me. So I didn't felt guilty about sitting here with Levi. But the silence were interrupted: I was startled by the sound of broken glass. Levi kept calm but defensively pushed me behind his back.

'Okay please everyone leave! I can't deal with all of this, just go. The party's over!' I heard Eren shouting from the mansion.

A bottle were thrown out of the closed window and broke the glass of it. I was relieved that the party's over, but I could sit the entire evening here with Levi and watch the fireflies, so I'm kinda sad that we have to go.

'Isabel needs me' Levi said and stood up. He took his jacket and wiped the dirt from it with a disgusted look. He glanced back at me for a second but then he continued walking towards the mansion.

'We should do this more often'. He said and waved goodbye, not turning back to me. I sit there for a moment and waited for him to disappear.

I went to the front door and saw a lot of students taking their way home. I watched Levi and Isabel arguing about something. She looked very drunk and wasn't happy with the fact that they have to leave. I don't know the relationship of them but Levi took care of her like she is his younger sister. Or do I just want to believe that she is nothing more then that?

'Oh God (Y/N), I was afraid that you went home without me or that something happened to you!' Christa shouted and ran towards me. She hugged me very close like we haven't seen each other for years.

'Calm down, I just needed some time alone so I went out to the garden.'

~Time Skip~

After Christa and I walked back to my place and introducing her to my parents, I set up an air mattress for her.

'You don't mind if I take a look?' She asked and hold one of my sketchbooks in her hand.

'I don't care, you can take it'

Christa jumped on my bed and scrolled through the sketchbook while I used an air pump get her bed ready. I didn't had a sleepover for years so the air pump was difficult to use and squeaked with every move.

'Ehm (Y/N), I'm curious, why are there so many drawings of Levi?'

Oh shit, I forgot about my new drawings that I made in school when I'm bored.

'Because... He wanted a portrait of him for something he didn't wanted to tell me, you know?'

'Really? He doesn't seem to be interested in such things, but I guess I just don't know him really well.' Christa wondered.

'What the heck am I saying? Sorry Christa I lied. I just draw him because his face doesn't go out of my mind. I don't know what it is.' I told her, not wanting to lie anymore. She smirked and said: 'So you are interested in him, I understand...'

'No, it's not what you think!' I said and threw a pillow at her. We laughed and had a long pillow fight till we were ready to sleep.

I lie on my bed but couldn't sleep because my mind was full of concerns.

Am I doing the right thing? Shall I let people in? Or are they going to hurt me anyways? Is Christa really a nice person or does she just want something from me?
I really want to believe.
Believe that they don't want to hurt me.
Believe that I am able to trust them. Believe that everything is different this time...
