Chapter 14

Y/n's pov

       I squeeze my eyes tightly then slowly began to open them to see I was in Alcina's bedroom. "What time is it", I groaned forcing myself to sit up. My body aches all over from the previous night, mostly my legs. I still have them right? I lifted the covers huge covers off me and then twisted my hips so my legs were hanging off the edge, yep still got them. I scooted from my spot to get closer towards the edge then hopped down. I staggered a bit, but kept my footing.

        "I must've overslept", I yawned walking towards the door. I grabbed the knob ready to open it, but it was locked? Maybe it was jammed. I grabbed onto it with both of my hands and began jiggling it, still wouldn't budge. I began pounding my fist on the door.

"ALCINA! GIRLS", I called trying to gain their attention. When I pounded the third time it sounds off, it didn't sound like my fist hitting the wood. It was a gun shot sound. I stopped pounding to see if I heard correctly. More gun shots sound started to go off.

"What the hell", I questioned. The door suddenly unlocked and opened slightly, Cassandra peaked her head inside.

"You're awake", she stated."Yeah, what's going on", I asked. "Nothing just trying to catch a pest", she giggled. "Let me help, I know how to catch mice", I said walking towards her. "No need, Mother says you need to rest", she quickly said. "I'm fine Cassandra, just need to walk around a bit", I sighed. "Mother, wants you to stay in here", she stated. The way she was telling me was like an order.

"Alright fine", I sighed. "Good", she exclaimed. She went to leave, but stopped. She opened the door a bit more and pulled me into a tight hug.

"Is something wrong", I asked hugging her back. "No just felt a little cold", she giggle letting me go. "Mother, left zones books under the bed for you", she added. "Byeeeeeee", she said then left the room locking the door.

"Least there's books", I mumbled walking towards the bed. I bent down pulling the stack from under it. When it came into my view there was something on top of it, it was a wooden necklace case with some flower engravings. I picked it up opening revealing a necklace. The chain was a gold-ish brown connected to a red gem that surrounded with goldish brown vines. It was beautiful. There was a small paper under the jewelers box so I took it from underneath it.

"For my future bride, the most radiant thing to grace these floors", the paper said. I felt my heart sweep as I held the paper. I placed it down then took the necklace out and hooked it around my neck. The gem felt cold against my skin. I stood up to walk towards the mirror to see what it looked like on me, but I stopped when the door knob started jiggling.

"Cassandra", I questioned, but no answer. Suddenly the door was kicked opened by someone. A man came in with a gun aiming at me. Is stared at him in shock as he kept his distance from me.

"Put your hands up", he demanded. I hurriedly raised my hands. "Where is Rose", he asked: "I don't know who that is", I answered. "It's not smart to lie to me", he stated. "I'm not and I doubt you will find them here", I replied. He stared at me for a minute then lowered his gun.

"You really don't know", he said. "Who is Rose maybe I can help you", I asked. "My daughter, she's just a baby", he answered. "I'm sorry but I don't think she's here", I said. "We're you taken to", he asked. "Yeah kind of", I answered. "How long have you been in this place", he asked. "I don't know", I answered. "Okay, I'm Ethan by the way", he introduced. "I'm Y/n, maybe I can help you", I offered. "Sure it'll be nice to get actual help for once", he chuckled. "I'm not suppose to leave, but I can find my wife and ask her if she seen Rose", I suggested. "Wife? Your wife was taken too", he asked causing me for shake my head. "It's hard to miss her, Lady Dimitrescu she knows the place in-", I went to say, but stopped when he had a look of panic on his face.

"You're with that monster, he fumed. "She's the one who is holding Rose", he added. "What are you taking about no she isn't", I snapped. Ethan rose his gun again aiming it at me. "You don't know your wife as well as you think then", he stated. "You're just delusional", I snapped. He pulled the trigger shooting me in my knee. I fell backwards on my bottom screaming in pain. The fabric of the white dress I was wearing starting to turn red in the spot where I've been shot at.

"I'm sorry, but I have do this for my daughter", he said. "If I give you up she'll give me my daughter back", he added walking towards me. He grabbed me by my hair forcing me to my feet then grabbed my arm twisting it behind my back forcing me to walk out of the bedroom with him behind me. As soon as he took a step out of the doorway. Alcina was stomping towards him, she looked enraged.

He aimed his gun at her firing off multiple shots, but she acted as if it was nothing. "You stupid man thing, how dare you lay your vile hands on my wife", she roared. Ethan release me and started to step backward still firing shots. Alcina kept pressing forward. Ethan's gun started clicking, he lowered it and began running down the stairs.

"ALCINA", I shouted stopping her from chasing aftee him. I saw she hesitated, but turned around to walk towards me. She bent down grasping my face. "I'm so sorry, my dear", she sighed looking over my face. "Alcina what was he talking about, did you take his daughter", I asked. "I can't tell you, just know I have to do this", she answered. "Then we can get another Miranda's approval", she added. I stared at her then nodded my head.

        "Okay", I said. She kissed my forehead then stood straight back up. "I doubt he'll be back up here, so just stay in one of the rooms", she said causing me to nod. "Okay, Alcina please be careful", I replied. "It's just a pest, I'll be fine", she replied. "You look beautiful just how I imagine", she cooed, I felt my heart skip a beat.

        "T-Thanks just hurry up, I'm going to have clean everything up when you two are done", I said quickly. "I will", she chuckled then sped walked away. I watched as she did then started heading to the library.
