Chapter 27 - date night!

The Circle Of Rings - Chapter 27

Olive Locke

I sat on my bed with a frown as Pearl went through my clothes. I really don't want to do this. No matter how much I honestly want to go on this date with Raymond, I still don't want to go on this date with Raymond. But sadly, I hve no choice in the matter.

"Oh cheer up, your going to have fun." Pearl smiled at me.

My frown deepened, "Suck my imaginary dick."

She just laughed at me before throwing an outfit onto the bed beside me and pulling me into the washroom. "Have a shower then I will do your hair."

She slammed the door into my face and I just rolled my eyes. I guess there is a first for everything. Especially this first. The first forced date in my entire life. Hopefully the very last too. Maybe I'll get lucky and never have to go on a date ever again.

"Why would you want that?" Pearl asked through the door.

That's right, she can hear what I'm thinking...

"Yes, yes I can. Now take a shower!!!" She shouted once again.

I groaned and did as she said. Still not wanting to go on a date. When I got out I wrapped myself in a towel and went back into my room to get changed into the outfit Pearl had chosen for me. It was a white tank top and a green skirt. So nothing too fancy. There was also some nude flats to go with it.

As if by majic when I was done Pearl entered the room. She forcefully sat me down on a chair then blow dryed my hair. After that I had no idea what she did to my lovely hair because I couldn't see anything.

Then she did my make up. I still had no idea what she was doing. I was actually quite afraid of her right now. After she was donw she instructed me to go down stairs because Raymond was waiting for me. Great...

Pear Faulkner

Olive left the room and slammed the door behind her. Now it was my time to get ready. I quickly hopped in the shower and quickly got out. I have to say, it was a record for me. Once I was out I put on the white denim shorts and light blue flowy top I had set out for myself. I slipped on my black converse and quickly dryed my hair.

I was actually excited for my date. This meant Clyde and I could spend some time alone without someone ruining it... hopefully.

I let my hair take its natural poufy state and I put on only a little bit of make up. I think  was ready. Actually, I hope I was ready. I haddn't got a clue to where we were going on this date. I hope I didn't over-do it. That would be bad. What if I under-did it. No that would be worse. Maybe I should change?

'Relax you idiot I can hear you,' Olive yelled to me in my head.

Right we can hear each others thoughts. I guess I'm just going to go like this and hope for the best. I grabbed my phone before making my way out of Olive's room and down to the living room where Clyde was waiting alone while the TV was on in front of him. I could tell he wasn't paying attention to it because he was twittling his thumbs. He does that when he's nervous.

I guess it makes me calmed to know I'm not the only nervous one about this. All I need to remember to do is to breathe and I'll be a-ok.

"Hey," I smiled at Clyde. He obviously didn't hear me come down.

He turned his head quickly to look at me then smiled. I couldn't help but smile back. He stoof up and I noticed what he was wearing. A white button up shirt with little blue stripes and blue denim jeans. So I guess I dressed myself perfectly for this.

Not over dress and not under dressed.

He walked towards me and wrapped his hand around my waist. With the other he cupped my cheek, "You look so beautiful."

I smiled, "Thanks."

He kissed me right there. Wait... he actually kissed me...

And I think I liked it.

In a matter of seconds he broke the kiss and grabbed my hand, "C'mon, we've got to go or we'll be late."

I gave him a confused face but let hime lead me out of the house and into his car. He had a nice car. I bet if Olive would have been a proper wolf like Clyde she would have gotten a nice car like this too. He polietly opened my door and closed it again after I had gotten in. Then he ran over to his side and got in.

It didn't take us that long to drive to the location he had picked, the whole way there he held my hand and we sang along to songs on the radio. It was really nice.

Olive Locke

When I got to the bottum of the stairs Raymond was staring right at me. It wasn't an akward stare or one of those 'I'll take you right here and right now' stares. It was one of those 'wow' stares. I could see it in his eyes. And, well he said, "Wow."

I had to admit I blushed a little. "Um, thanks."

Clyde smiled from the sofa, You two are going to be late."

It was as if Raymond suddenly snapped out of a day dream, "Oh right."

He grabbed my hand and led me out to his car. He even opened the door for me. Well this is a change. I can't help but wonder how hard he is actually trying. On the way there he had the radio playing but we made small talk. It wasn't at all akward to me. I didn't know about him.

A few times I spaced out because of Pearl and her worries that were invading my thoughts but Raymond understood because Clyde does the same thing but to the whole pack. They really are meant for each other. Makes me wonder if Raymond and I are really meant to be or not.

When he stopped the car I looked out to try and guess where we were at. 

"Paintballing?" I raised my eye brow at Raymond.

He shrugged and smiled sheepishly, "I thought we could like release our anger in a... more contoled mannor."

I wasn't angry at all for this. In fact, I laughed. This was genious! Raymond looked a little surprised at my reaction so I smiled at him, "Well what are we waiting for sitting in this car? Let's get going!"

Pearl Faulkner

The car stopped and Clyde helped me out. We were at a bowling alley? Clyde smiled at me, "Simple but effective."

I laughed, "True that!"

He held my hand and we walked towards the building with big smiles. This is going to turn out just fine. I can tell. I just hope Olive's works out too. Or she's going to be one mad snake when she gets home.
