The Circle Of Rings - Chapter 17
Olive Locke
I haven't spoken to Clyde or Raymond in three days. Neither has Pearl. We hardly see them anymore. When we do see them we can see that the silent treatment is killing them from the inside. It's killing us too but we have a duty as ring holders and we can't tell them what it is. That's the worse part. If we could tell them, they could help us. Then everyone would be happy. But they can't know until my mother comes home, and even when she comes home its her desion if she wants to tell them or not. So they may never know. That's the one thought that is driving me insane. That my mate might never know who I truly am.
"I'VE HAD IT!" I screached at Pearl. I stood up from my bed and stormed down stairs. The boys both looked at me frantically like something was wrong. I painfully turned away from them, "PEARL I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE!!!" A tear rolled down my cheek as I ran out the back door and into the forest. For the first time in a long time I shifted. It felt nice to be in wolf form. I ran for a bit then shifted into a tiger. I ended up at the cliffs once again so I shifted into my bald eagle and flew over the ocean. Finally free.
I don't know how long I flew around the coast but it was pitch black outside and I knew had to get back. They were probably running around frantically trying to find me. Well everyone except Pearl. She knows exactly where I am.
I sat on the beach in my human form not really wanting to go face them. They can find me here. Pearl will find me when she feels like it. I watched the waves off in the distance. I heard him coming long before I saw him. I sighed and looked down at the sand when he came over to me. More like ran over to me.
"Olive?"
I looked up at Raymond and smiled. I still don't want to talk to him no matter how much the animal side of me is screaming at me to. He came and sat down beside me.
"Are you alright?" He asked. I shook my head no so he grabbed my hand and I was surprised at how much I wanted him to not let go. And he didn't let go, so I leaned on his shoulder. OMG Raymond is the best stress reliver EVER!!! I sighed again.
"Can you tell me what's wrong?"
I shook my head no again. This time he sighed.
It was really hard to have a mate. Him and I haven't had any real time together because I've been to busy. But I should be able to tell him who I am right? He's supposed to be half my soul. We are full when we are together. But then again there is the mind link that he has, even if he thinks it the whole pack will know. So I can't take any chances.
I don't know how long we stayed there but eventually we both layed down to look at the stars and in no time I was asleep.

'OLIVE! WAKE UP!' Pearl's voice screamed in my head. I sat up as fast as I could and opened my eyes. Damn it I got up to fast, now I can't see. Oh shit now the sun is too bright. Wait, sun?
I looked around to see I was on the beach still with Raymond still asleep. 'What Pearl?' I asked angrily.
'Your parents are here.'
That's all I needed before I shook Raymond awake and smiled at him. I got up and started to run to my house. It took Raymond a while, but he caught up to me. We got to the house together and walked inside together. My parents were sitting with Clyde in the kitchen and Pearl was in the corner of the room looking bored.
I smiled at my parents, "Why hello there."
My father was confused to as who I was and what was I doing here and my mother started to cry. She ran up to me and gave me a hug. I didn't hug her back.
"I can't believe it's you." She cried into my shoulder. How and when did I get taller than my mom. "I missed you so much."
"Who are you?" My dad asked with venom seeping into his voice.
I smirked at him, "You know its a sad day when a father doesn't recognize his daughter." At first he was surprised then he was angry. My mother went back to comfort him. "Why are you angry?" I asked him.
"Why are you here? Shouldn't you be at school?"
I laughed, "I'm using my vacation time. You know, my summers, spring breaks, christmas holidays, and anything else I was never allowed to come home for." I walked to go sit beside Clyde, "Oh and all the preformances you missed and all the birthdays."
Clyde stiffened, "Preformances?"
"Oh, did you not know?" I said trying to sound surprised. "We held preformances twice a month for our family members. I used to send you all invites but stopped after two years when I realized you were never going to come. I'm also guessing that Clyde never got my pictures or letters I sent him every week."
I looked at my dad dissaprovingly, "And I thought that you were a good father." Then I turned to my mother, "And you need to tell ever one why I'm here because I can't." I showed her the snake on my finger, "You know what this is, don't you?"
He eyes widened and she gasped. She slowly bowed her head to show respect for me.
"Don't do that." I told her and she lifted her head, "You are part of a pack of wolves, you have lost the right." She burst into tears and hid her face into my fathers chest.
"What is that?" My father demanded.
I smiled at Pearl then smiled at him, "I can't tell you," I sang. "I'm not part of your pack!" I chuckled to myself, "Only my dear mother can tell you."
Raymond came to stand beside me, "Please tell us."
She looked up from my fathers chest and looked directly at me, "She's a soul shifter. A very powerful ring holder as well."
"And to think," I stood up. "You knew and you could have stopped the monster I used to call a father from sending me away. I hate both of you," I spat in their direction. "You ruined me."
Then I walked out of the house. Pearl followed me but everyone else stayed. Now we have to find the polar bear and leave.
Duh, duh, duhhhh!!! Now they know! Whooooo!!!! I'm so happy with this chapter. Tell me if you want more Raymond and Olive time. Or would you like Pearl and Clyde time? Cuz I can make that happen before they find the polar bear :D
