Clyde and I sat in front of Olive and Pearl. I really hated seeing them tied up like this. But they wouldn't talk to us! We had to do something! "So..." Olive drug on, "What's up?" She asked with a fake cheery voice.
"We need to talk," Clyde answered.
"Yea, we got that," Olive smiled at hime, "Talk about what exacly?"
"We are sorry," I cut in before Clyde could say anthing.
"About what?" Olive said slowly.
I went and kneeled in front of her, "For not forcing you to stay. For letting your dad send you away." My eyes started to tear up, "I had the power to keep you here but I didn't do that. For that I am ashamed of myself." I let a tear roll down my cheek, "If only I knew that we were mates and it would have changed everything." I did really feel bad. Watching her leave in the taxi that morning was the worst day of my life. I felt so ashamed because I was just letting her leave, and she could have stayed if I had just interviened.
Her mouth opened and she let out a huge sigh, "Its not your fault Raymond."
"But I took part in it," I stood up and turned away from her. "That's just as bad." I heard a little shuffling before I felt her arms wrap around my waist and pull me into a hug.
"Don't beat your self up over it. Good things came from me leaving and coming back. I found myself. I found Pearl, who without me would haven't found Clyde." She walked around to face me and hugged me from the front. I guess she was right. It crossed my mind only for a second as to how she got out of the chair, but right now I really didn't care about that. I hugged her back and my wolf purred in content. She obviously heard it because she started to laugh.
I kissed the top of her head and hid my nose into her hair. I breathed in her beautiful sent and felt at peace. If I wasn't so calm and happy, I would have marked her right then and there. But she, and her overprotective brother, would have not enjoyed that.
