I got off of her broom, and saw my closest friend.
"Hey baby! How was work?"
"Frickin good babe, Shawn tryed to flirt with me again"
"Ugh, he always does. Need me to help?"
"Sure! Teach him a lesson?"
She flew away on her broom and I went inside the sweets shop for those sweet ol' brownies Señor Leche makes. He always knows how to make the best ones with nuts or without, something other brownie makers couldn't.
"Hello Señor Leche"
"Hola Señorita Michelle, here for your weekly dozen half nuts half no nuts brownies"
"You know me Señor! Yes, as always"
He went to the back and I heard the oven turn on, the light steam that comes out usually did as it did every time. I loved the routine of going in after a small chat with my friend, and seeing Señor Leche.
He came out in a bit and I thanked him, then wondered something and it spilt out of my clumsy head.
"Señor Leche? Doesn't Leche mean milk?"
"Yes. Your learning spanish finally child"
"Why do I need to know that?"
"Your raised in a spanish home, and still don't know how to ask me for brownies in spanish. How you going to live outside this place"
"I won't! Can't leave home Señor"
He let a chuckle out and I did so as well, knowing I had pure spanish blood in me, but lack of the voice. I couldn't roll my r's or pronounce the letters like others.
Kids would always laugh at me for not being able to say teacher in another language, instead saying Sensei to seem cool.
I got on my broom again and left to my friend's cottage near the edge of the forest, and flew over to share some brownies.
I waited for the door to open and snuck in, knowing the house has more odd features. Coming over was always a risk as you may get stuck inside for hours. I always took the risk as I had not much to do otherwise.
"Hey babe, I got brownies"
"With the nuts as I always ask for?"
"Of course! Señor Leche made them"
"Baby! You always know the best!"
"Yup, I just learned your taking spanish classes"
"I needa fit in girl!"
She took some of the brownies and chuckled.
