Chapter Four

I sat right next to Tony Stark at the bar on the top floor of the Gala building. The whole building itself was nicer looking than my apartment. The music was elegant, it sounded like the Yule Ball music in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Tony sat on my right with a scotch in his hand while we talked.

"So you said your name was Alex, right?" Tony asked after taking a sip of his scotch.

"Yeah, Alex. Alex Heart." I said with a smile, James Bond style.

Tony raised a brow at me, "You've got an accent," he stated. I nodded, "Australian?" he said after looking at me.

"I was born in Sydney, and grew up there most of my life. But what about you? Mr. Tony Stark?"

"There's not much that already isn't in the news." He said, sighing.

"So what don't I know, then?" I asked before taking a sip of my water.

"How the Iron Man suit is made, most people don't know who JARVIS is-"

"Yes, Sir?" Came a voice out of nowhere. I looked around to find it.

Tony chuckled. "No, JARVIS, I don't need you right now."

"Where the heck did that come from?!" I asked laughing a bit.

"I honestly, don't know," Tony said looking at me, his face smug, "Possibly this..." He said as he held up a cellphone looking device.

"That's your mobile?!" I said with a smile and surprise, "That's freaking awesome!"

"You're not a calm type of person are you?" He asked sipping his scotch, "How old are you?"

"Twenty... four." I replied taking another drink of my water. "You know what?" I asked.

        "I'm an amazing person?"

"Well... yes, but no, that's not what I was wanting to say." I said with a sheepish smile, "I like talking to you, Stark."

"Nice to hear," he said with a smirk.

We continued talking for hours more- him drinking his scotch, and me drinking my water. I swayed my head to the music as we talked. I refrained from saying I practically stole a car, bought an over-expensive dress in my boss' name, and sneaked into the Gala just to meet him. We talked about the aftermath of the Norse God, Loki's attack weeks ago. We talked about the Avengers and his work with him. Even if the attack was hard to talk about for him, he was slowly opening up about the whole portal and everything.

I always changed the subject when he asked questions on things I recently been up to. The only time we talked about myself was when it was about my home in Australia. I smiled and laughed a lot, Tony smirked a lot.

All in all, I had a great time. I met Tony Stark. And all the things leading up to it? Hilarious. Overall, these past few weeks were pretty freaking amazing (even if I had to deliver a lot of coffee to people).

I lay on my bed with the dress I bought still on. The Gala ended not long ago, and I was tired. By the time I got back to my apartment, it was already three in the morning.
