- the game of hell

"You can see two button in front of you. If you wish to continue please press the green button with an O. If you wish to cease, please press the red button with an X. Once you finish voting, move to the other side of the white line. The votes will be held in reverse of the numbers on your chest. Player 456 please cast your vote."YUN RYUNG, felt her heartbeat racing. Of course, anyones heart would be in this type of situation. For all she knows the could've been killed only minutes ago. Her chest ached as she watched the line thin. Her palms imprinted with the thick lines of her nails that drew a perfect amount of blood. Her lips dampened at the sight. And her heartstrings tingled even in moments like this she managed to find peace within the smallest things. The weirdest of things. Perhaps that what makes her even more enticing? The fact that blood makes her heart flutter. And pain makes the butterflies in her stomach go crazy.
KANG SAE-BYEOK, when it came to Ryung. She could always find at least one familiar resemblance. Maybe because she to was the same. Thought the same but the difference between the two was that Sae-byeok had something to live for, she had a plan. Ryung didn't have a plan nor did she plan on making one. All she knew was that her sister didn't deserve to be in that place. But she didn't deserve to live on the streets either. She had nothing left to do. And what good would money bring her when her debts most likely cost the same amount as the money in the piggy bank?
So as the numbers descended and her mind began to question, she stood still. "66, go." Sae-byeok utters, tugging on the girls arm. Ryung nods blankly. Walking at a dangerously slow pace towards the stand. Her hand hovers over between each button, before placing down against the red one, confirming her answer as the screen flashes.
And to her disadvantage Sae-byeok had pressed O. But she had something to live for, she had a meaning to why she was placed in this god for saken place. Regardless of Ryung's opinion. Why does she care so much? Or why should she care about what she has to say?
"Have you all gone insane? You want this madness to continue?"
"So what happens when we leave? Is anything different out there? It's hell out there anyway, fuck." There was no right and wrong in this situation, it all depends on how you live now. Society takes as out like bugs, trains us to look after and survive on our own. You can't trust anyone here or out there. There really isn't a difference except for one thing. You get reawarded for your efforts. In the real world the most you'll get is a crumb or a few sips of water. If you're luckly maybe even a place to stay.
"She's right! If we stop now, we're only doing the dead ones a favour. They're going to get 100 million won. We're the ones who won, that makes no sense."
Ryung just like always. Wasn't paying attention. But this time it was on the walls. This whole time she wondered to herself what the meaning of each drawing meant. At first she thought that this massive ass warehouse needed some decorating but looking at it now it has to have a meaning. Or why else would it be there? Her lips tucked between her teeth sucking on the dead skin cells. Her nails dig further into her palms as she stares out to the walls. Her body spinning in slow patterns until Sae-byeok had stopped her with harsh hands on her shoulders.
The cold plates of her hands nearly seared through the fabric of her tracksuit. "What are you looking at?" Sae-byeok looked at the girl with curious eyes. She wasn't expecting an answer, but right now she could use one. "Nothing." The girl shook her head impassively.
"You better not be lying or else I will slit your throat as soon as we get out of here." She said it as if they would some how meet again. And yet us brought comfort to the girl. "Sure, unless I get to you first." Yun Ryung just smirked playfully.
Sae-byeok's expressions shamelessly transparent. She was annoyed, and Ryung enjoyed watching her with a shit eating grin.
