Me: Address, please.
I have ten minutes to get there. I may have lied at bit by telling her eight sharp, the event doesn't start till nine, but knowing her she will not be ready. Fuck, knowing her she will be wearing the most ridiculous dress I have ever seen.
Amina: WAIT. I'm not ready yet. What the hell do I even wear to this thing?
I roll my eyes as I get into my car. I am going to make a pit stop. She may have a dress she can wear, but I want to make sure she is wearing what I want. Amina has the most beautiful body I have ever seen. The way her clothes cape around her body no matter what she is wearing. Tempted as I may be to devour her, I won't. I know she isn't my biggest fan. I shake my head to clear her out of my thoughts.
I pull up to a small boutique filled with silk dresses. Getting out of my car, I can already hear the city coming alive. It's like the moment people get off work, they head to clubs, or go out with their friends. Like there isn't a worry in the world- must be nice.
"Can I help you?" A woman asks while heading in my direction.
I look at her up and down. She had fantastic style. "Sure."
Walking over to the section of silk dresses, I run my fingers through my hair. "I need a dress that looks good with olive skin."
"Well, we have many options." She says while giving me a smile that I don't return.
"Yes, but I need one that will make everyone stop and stare," I let out a breath. "Not that she needs a dress to do that, but I want something that will compliment her perfect features. Curves, mostly."
She lets out a soft chuckle and pulls out a small floor-length olive-green silk dress. That's it. Holy fuck Mina will look unbelievable in this. I take it out of her hands and walk to the jewelry section. My hands find their way back into my hair. Why the fuck are there so many options? Men simply have black.
"Gold." The lady says. "What color is her hair?"
"Brown. Beautiful brown." What the fuck am I saying right now.
"She has you wrapped around her finger, doesn't she?"
"No." I say as I grab some gold jewelry and head towards the register.
I give her my card and look down at my phone.
Amina: Hello?! I need help, ASAP.
Amina: Seriously?
Amina: This is not what I had in mind.
She needs to relax. But she can't because she has no idea that I have her covered. I reach for my card and put it back into my wallet. Taking the dress, and everything else I bought for Mina, I see roses on the table.
Don't take them. Don't be an idiot. She will get the wrong idea. Amina is a hopeless romantic, it doesn't take much to realize that, she will dissect every meaning behind these if I take them.
"Sir, those aren't for sale." She says as I put a bill on the counter that makes her shut up.
I know Amina isn't my real date. I know isn't much to me, but I want her to enjoy this night. And this is something a date would do. Right? I don't know, I've never done this dating thing before, let alone fake dating.
