Waking up from an amazing sunrise behind her curtains, Melanie smiled and captured the moment. Evergreen is a small known, neighbourhood in the city center of Mikasa. Whenever the sun rises, it means that it will be a good day. Rising and starting to tidy up her bed and the blanket, she took a shower and put on some new clothes for the day. After brushing, she rushed quickly downstairs, smelling her favorite thing in the morning, which was Waffles and a cup of coffee. She sat next to her daddy, greeting him with a kiss on the cheek and a side hug by her mother. Then came in the little sister, Suzanne, and her brother, Nat. Giving each other a big hug, they parted and said, "Can we go to the park, Big sister Mel?" Mel looked at her two parents and she said, "Yes we may. Right after you, go take a bath and change your clothes. We will take Max along with us, okay?" Yeah! Thanks, Mel!" Looking to her daughter, Madam Peterson said, "Honey don't forget to take the leash and a plastic bag and the dog scoop, just in case he does his business by the park. Yes, mother. But may I quickly finish my breakfast first?" "Yes, you may, darling!" Finishing up her breakfast, Mel gathered the stuff that her mother recommended and went upstairs to change into something comfortable. When she was done, she took her side bag and placed her phone inside and gathered the dog by his leash, and walked outside.

Weather was nice and it sure was amazing to feel that gentle breeze. Still heading to the park, I spotted a bench under a tree and decided to sit. We were close to a playing area so I could see my brother and sister well. I told them that I would go for a walk with Max and they agreed. It is just Max and I until apparently; another dog came next to Max and started to sniff him. When I saw who called the dog, which its name was Zack, I became surprised. "Hi Mel, hi there buddy. How are you guys doing?" said Bryan. "We are doing good thanks, Bryan. We just decided to take a walk today. It's a good weather for it." "You are right about that, Mel. Are you nervous to receive your letter of approval from the university?" "No. I am not. I know that I will be accepted." "Hum confident soul. I like that. (Laughing and smiling to himself again, Man I like his smile!).

"Thanks, I appreciate that. I will take that as a compliment. "So how long have you been here in Evergreen?" Bryan asked me. "Born and raised here and apparently, living here too. I live here with my parents and siblings. I am the only older one in my family. How about you?"
" I am the second oldest boy amongst the three of us, boys, and as for the girls, only two. But I got the latest news that my mother is pregnant again, she is now 4 months. "Wow, congrats. What is the age difference between you guys?" "We are 6 years difference." "How old are you, Bryan?" " I am 18. Birthday month August. "Well, I am 18 as well, birthday month September. "Crazy huh? Just the following month. That's adorable."
Knowing that I and Bryan were having a long conversation, my siblings came running to me. "Hey Mel, hi there, Mel's friend. I am Suzanne. Um Mel, may I have some water please?" Smiling and taking their bottles of water, I said, "Yes, you may. And this is Bryan. I did not get your last name. "Henderson. Bryan Henderson." Alright. I think it is to time to go back home. "Hey, thanks for the company. See you soon. "Wait, I can go alongside you, back home if you do not mind." I blushed and said, "Okay, no problem. This way!" We ended up walking to my house and when we reached the gates, I asked Suzanne to take the dog and Nathaniel inside the house, so it's just Bryan and me.

As soon as I took the envelope from the mailbox, I was nervous. My mother came out and said, "Oh hi Mel dear, are you okay?" "Yes mother, I am doing okay. Just taking out the envelope from the mailbox." "I see my dear, look, why don't you do it inside, I am not pleased with the weather. You may bring the boy along too." I look at Bryan and he said, "Alright, thanks, Ma'am. Come on Zack." As we entered the door, it was a bit warm. So I quickly greeted dad and went to wash my hands so I could open the envelope. As I am busy washing my hands, my dad is having a conversation with Bryan. So not minding, I clean my hands and settle myself down by the couch. So everyone is gathered around by the table, and dad opens up the envelope, and he scans the letter and his facial expression says it all. It could only mean one thing and he said, "You got approved! Melanie. Yes! I am so glad. Um, excuse me..."Bryan" "Yes, Bryan, what University were you approved to?" "Mikasa University, Sir!" And there I stood in shock.
"Are u serious?" "Yes, I am, Mel. "Wow, congratulations, Bryan. "Back to you, Mel. Well, I got to get going, time is running fast now. I guess I will be seeing you tomorrow. Thank you for letting me in and stay a while. It was great meeting you, Mr. and Mrs. Peterson. Bye!" In addition, he left.

I walked him to the front door and then he said, "May I pick you up tomorrow? For school, if you want." I nod and said, "See you tomorrow." I closed the door with a smile and went to my bedroom, preparing my stationery and clothes packed for tomorrow.
