A Long Distance Relationship

Chapter 13: A week before the Games!

A lot of things have happened for a week now. Ever since David knew that he has gained feelings for Britney, he has tried and tried multiple times on being simple and enjoy spending times on new friends. For Samantha and Gabriela, they have been working on their campaign outside of the school and it is called Sam and Gabby's Book collections. They will say that it is not just a simple bookstore, where you find the modern well titled books, no, it is the type of campaign where you can find and store some of your not-so-interested books, where if you want it back, it will be at the same place you left it.

Moving on, we have the two best friends, Britney and Melanie. They are such cool BFFs that they help each other in so many ways, for example, if Britney has a math problem and she cannot solve it, she asks help from Mel because she is an excellent student of maths. She loves numbers and solving maths exercises. For Britney, her favorite subjects are Life sciences, Economics, Chemistry, History and English Language. Even though I have mentioned that Mel likes maths, those are not the only ones, she also loves, Economics, Accounting, History, Geography, Biology, PE, Natural Sciences and lastly, Studies of Languages or in other words, Linguistics.

I am waking up after a great dream I had and right now, just bathed and preparing my clothes for another week. Knowing that Bryan's first basketball match game is on the following week, at the weekend, I am pretty excited for him because he has worked hard and is determined for this. Knowing that his position as player in the team is point forward, I have never seen him work twice as hard as this and that he is very proud of it. Texted him this morning and agreed on picking me for school today.

So as I am heading downstairs and start eating my favorite cereals with red cherries and small chocolate Cocos box, talking with Jessica. Enjoying the last part of my cereal, I gather my bag and say my goodbye to Jessica and my siblings and heading straight to my ride. After placing a sweet kiss on his lips, I looked at his outfit and I became completely stunned by it. He wore the high school basketball team t-shirt with his name at the back, with a tracksuit long pants with a simple sneaker, and I said to him, "Wow, babe, you look good with the t-shirt on with your name now, and your expression says it all, of course!" "Yes, baby, I am very happy. I just got this top yesterday by the practice. I do apologize on not mentioning it when I messaged you yesterday, I wanted to make a surprise. So here I am! "Kk yes, I am so glad seeing you happy, so what position did you decide to be? A point forward, a center, a power forward or another one?" "I decided to be the point forward. Cause I like scoring and giving some points for my team." "I think that's a good choice, babe. I am glad. I cannot wait to support you and another thing, what's your number again?" "My number is 24. Like the two means a shooting guard and number 4 as the point forward." Cool. I like that darling. Well, babe, I hate that we don't get to talk during the times here at school, but I can invite you to see us play a small match game on the court. What do you think?" That's awesome. I will invite the others as well." "You know you are the best thing that's has ever happened to me, like no kidding, I want to thank you for being a great support." Aww babe, you are welcome. I got you, now and until whenever this road will take care. And also, if we are apart, I will be watching you on live televisions and hear your name through radios. I think I went a bit far, right?" "No darling, you are talking in future tense, and I do believe that this relationship is great because I have you. And yes, I know you got me. Cause I cannot think of anyone who knows me better than you do. Alright now, I am pretty sure we have been here for a while and we are late, we got to get going, rápido."

Rushing out the car quickly, they have arrived there on time, entering the assembly and sat alongside their friends who had two seats open for them. The first person who asked was Britney, she said, "Hey you guys, how was your little talk session by the parking lot?" "Hey girl to you too, we had a good time though. Bryan was telling me about his new T-shirt on basketball and his number as well, right babe?" Holding Mel's hand, he said, "Yes, that was all we did. Alright, we will talk more on this later.

After the assembly, the gang left together, and they all split in their own way and headed to their lockers to get their books for the three periods. The girls chatted and giggled, and Sam said, "Well, how does Melanie feel?" "I cannot lie but I feel that Bryan can do this, not only because he has worked on for it, but I can see a very well-known hardworking player, and I will be alongside him until whenever this path is over." With the girls looking at me, they were just holding their hands by the chest and looked in awe's, I said, "What's up, girls?" And they said, "Our girl is in love!"

They hugged and laughed together, and they went on gathering the books and going to their lessons.
