A Long Distance Relationship

Chapter 16: New Beginnings, New Habit

It's a beautiful morning and our favorite thing to do is look at by the window and appreciate the day with a glimpse of the Sun. Everyone is up and ready for the next day of normal work-student- life, starting with the parents leaving their homes and saying goodbye to the nanny who will be taking care of the house while they are out. To the students, having pump the car with enough gas for the whole week of school, picking up their classmates and making conversations of what they will be doing on their first week. And as for the teachers till the staff of the school departments, they are paper ready, with the smartest outfit as a presentation to the learners and the other staff pupils, they are prepared for this upcoming week and giving the students their first step of this term, which are projects and tests.

Returning to the cheerful day, Melanie has woken up and prepared her school stationery, so as her new book covers, the pencils, the new school case, and so many more. With her outfit selected and worn on, she took her bag and headed down to the kitchen to find that her breakfast was served. By the kitchen was her brothers and her sister, Nathaniel and Suzanne, eating their favourite cereals, Coco pots-banana flavored and chocolate with milk, while Sam was preparing Suzy's lunchbox. Receiving my breakfast tray from Sam, she asked me, "So, what's up with the new stationery and new look for this term? Or for a certain somebody?" Laughing at her, I said, "No, Sam, it's not a special day or anything less. I am just looking forward for this week because Wednesday and Thursday will be my first training on the cheerleader team. So yes, that is why.  I have gotten myself this new bracelet for luck during the trainings."

After congratulate Melanie for her upcoming practices, she heard a car hoot outside and she got up with her coffee mug and her school bag to the door and greeted her family goodbye. Running to the vehicle, she placed her bag first into the car floor seat and she sat after. Greeting her beloved with a gentle embraced kiss, Bryan starts the car and they were on their way.

"So you ready for the busy weeks on training with the team?" Arriving by our parking spot, he faced me and I could see that he was worried and nervous, he said, "I woke up with a huge determination this morning, ergue to start it well but then, I remember that I am facing with the biggest thing ever and that thing is, start playing in a team, with other people. I mean I have hanged out with them and saw them multiple times but still, I keep having doubts on if they can possibly be better than me, you know, like comparing myself with the rest of the guys in my team. I know I should be happy and excited about this, but babe, I am nervous and scared." I held his hands and locked my fingers into his, took my free hand and lifted his face and said, "You are the most amazing, talented and brave guy I have met and to be honest with you, it is okay to be nervous. I understand how you feel because I feel the same today, about being out there with other girls and putting my outmost best on that field and try this nervous trail, as I will call it, a new habit. Knowing that I love to dance and be active, this right here, is the biggest opportunity of my life and I am able to risk it, no matter how hard or the different obstacle on getting to your dream, instead of facing your enemy and give him the throne, make sure that you own it first and show what you are. Which I can proudly say, that you are the perfect you on the field."

Staring me deeply with his famous smirk and shyness, he said. "You are, indeed, my favorite person right now, not just by those amazing words but also as my greatest supporter. That is my greatest strength, knowing that you will be there alongside me. Thank you." Leaning forward towards me, he gave me the most passion kiss ever. After a while, we looked a little bit more and got shocked by the bell. We rapidly undone everything that was around us, including our bags, banged the car doors and rapidly went to our separate ways. Arriving to my locker, I did a quick check on my books and sprint to my register class. Arriving at the door, I give in my reason and went to quickly sit by my desk.

After that, I quickly resumed on what happened to the girls, saying, "Ah, Melanie, you sure a great BG, which means, Bryan's Girlfriend, like you are there for him, through the advices and his nervous emotions, that is really important and that part you added about being true to himself, no matter what, is definitely word for everyone here. And as for me, I have an announcement. I am entering a club here and that is called, The Pastry's Club. So in this particular club, you will see me in important events, as for the next terms, the Fall season, the Christmas tree and celebrations and also for next year, Valentine's Day and other important events. And also, we shall be in charge for the sports events as well. So that part, I can't wait.

Congratulating Bethany on her new club, the girls continued on talking about their new habits and how they will make a difference on their new activities.

As for the guys, Bryan has told his boys what Melanie said and they have said the following; "Man, Bryan, you are sure the lucky guy here on having someone like Mel to support you and motivate you on being the outmost on this new beginning. And also, I can agree on that point, when she said that facing your obstacles on being the best, that does not only applies in you alone, it goes for all of us here as a team. What we need to do is help one another and push them up instead of shadowing their chance on the team. You know, so yes, like there is a saying that says, "Help others so that we can help you." 

On the next couple of minutes, the boys are talking and laughing until the end of the first break.
