***TALKS OF ABORTION***
"Are you planning on keeping the baby?"
"Could I have some time to think about that? I'd need to talk with the father."
"Yes, take some time," she says smiling and getting up, "I'll give you a couple minutes to discuss."
"Thanks."
The nurse makes her way to attend to a different patient.
"I'm not ready to be a mother, Derek. I didn't even plan on becoming a mother."
"I'm not exactly ready to be a father either, but it's your body. I cannot say what you can and cannot do with it."
You know what, maybe I will have this man's baby. Just kidding, fuck them kids.
"And we'd have to explain everything to the team, I'm pretty sure they would not like the idea of an ex-con having an agent's child."
"Yeah, so what do you want to do?"
"I wanna terminate the pregnancy."
"Then you'll terminate the pregnancy."
"So we're both on the same page? No baby?"
"No baby."
"Alright."
The nurse comes back.
"Have you made your decision?"
"Yes. I wish to terminate the pregnancy."
"Just so you know all the options, you can keep the baby, you can put it up for adoption, and you can terminate the pregnancy. I only have to go over the options for legal reasons."
"I wish to terminate the pregnancy, please."
"Do you have some time to schedule an appointment?"
"How long does it take?"
"Only a few minutes."
"Alright, sure."
"Great," she said with a small smile.
Once she came back with the paperwork, we set a date. Since it's only been a day, I need to wait a week or two. The next opening is on April 8th, which is under a month away. God, this is going to be stressful. I'm going to have to be stealthy about this. Once the paperwork was complete, Derek and I were able to leave.
Once Derek finally led me to the car, we headed to the BAU.
"How do you feel about this?" Derek asked, finally breaking the silence.
"Honestly, it's not ideal."
"Yeah, no kidding."
"How am I supposed to hide it? Who knows what'll happen."
"You're gonna take it day by day. That's what the plan is right now."
