It has been about two weeks since I've been in Idaho with Raven. Today's the day of the abortion. Derek called her back to talk about prices, apparently it was a hefty price considering he wouldn't tell me anything. Derek said he was going to be my support system once the procedure is done. I told him he didn't have to, but he insisted.
Eden and I talked on the phone about what was going to happen. She informed me that I was going to be under sedation and it should take about fifteen minutes. This whole experience was weird. I kept throwing up, the times were always so precise too. It's weird how pregnancy can affect the human body.
Eden was able to get a room in a hospital so it wouldn't be done in the apartment. It makes more
sense to do it in the hospital anyway, it's more sanitary. Since I had gotten up early, I decided to shower and get ready for the day. I chose a dark-colored short-sleeved t-shirt, my black active leggings, and my white slip-on Vans.
Before leaving, I make sure Raven's bowls are filled and I give her some pets. I grab the keys to the rental car then lock the door behind me. I go through a drive thru and eat something for breakfast then wait for them in the hospital parking lot.
After about fifteen minutes, Derek knocks on the car window which makes me jump. He does his cheesy smile in response and I just roll my eyes. I open the car door, shut it then lock the car.
"Yeah I'm real glad you got a laugh out of that, asshole," I say then playfully punch his shoulder.
"Come on, it was funny!"
"Yeah, sure, ha-ha," I say in a dry, sarcastic tone.
I look over at who I'm assuming is Eden O'Donnell. She's stunning. She has gorgeous mocha skin. Her hair is parted off center and her dark brown, tight curls sat on her shoulders. She holds out a hand for me to shake.
"I'm assuming you're Y/N?"
"You'd assume right, nice to meet you, Eden," I say shaking her hand.
"It's nice to meet you too," she said holding a good grip on my hand.
"Let's head inside, shall we?" Eden said.
Derek and I agreed then we all went inside. Eden told the front desk about how there was a room reserved by her. The lady told her what room then we were on our way. Once we arrived, Eden handed me a clipboard.
"I just need you to sign here, here and here giving me permission to conduct this procedure and that you're here willingly and not by force."
I sign where I'm needed to and hand back the clipboard.
"So as previously discussed, you will be sedated and the procedure should take about fifteen minutes max. It's also recommended that you don't drive, but someone drives you home. You should expect minimal cramping and some blood, just like a regular period."
"Understood."
"Do you have any questions?"
"I don't think so, no."
"After a few weeks, I'm going to video call to see how everything's doing."
