Tina POV
It's been hours ever since we found Alex and he hasn't woken up. The doctors used what little equipment they had to treat his wounds since the inmates raided almost every hospital in Paris.
Now I know how Alex felt when I was in the hospital. We sat in the waiting room, waiting for Doctor Quinn's verdict. Rodrigo tried to reassure me that Alex will get through this but to no avail.
30 minutes later, Doctor Quinn came to the waiting room.
"So I have good news and bad news. The good news is that Alex is in the clear for now." He said.
We sighed with relief.
"However, he'll be in a coma. We don't know how long." He added sadly.
I felt my heart freeze and tears spill from my eyes.
"Can I see him? Please?" I asked.
Doctor Quinn nodded. I entered Alex's room. His bodysuit was torn and the armour was dented. He was wearing a hospital gown and had bandages on his arms, legs and torso. He was attached to a heartbeat monitor, which beeped steadily.
"Al. I'm sorry this happened to you. I'm sorry we couldn't find you earlier. I swear. Chloe and her army will be brought to justice for this. I can promise you that." I said and kissed his forehead before leaving his room.
"Muchacha?" Rodrigo asked.
I felt like breaking down into tears but I decided against it.
"I'm heading home. There are some things I need to pick up before we try to get Paris back." I said.
"We'll go with you." Marinette said. I shook my head.
"No. You need to check if your family are safe. I don't want them to be in the same condition as Alex."
"Alright. We'll meet up at our old school." Nino said.
We nodded and parted ways.
