Alex POV
I perched on top of my favourite spot in Paris, The Eiffel Tower. The wind blew against my trench coat.
I gazed down at the ruined city, now owned by criminals.
Pegasus and I decided to split up and search for our fellow superheroes, with very little luck.
With a sigh, I leaped of the Tower and dived down until I fired my grapple gun at a near by building, swinging upwards and landing on top of a building. I raced across the buildings, searching for survivors.
Suddenly, I was ambushed by a group of convicts. Rhino stepped forward and chuckled.
"Well well well. Look who returned from the brink of death, boys." He said. His crew chuckled.
I remained silent.
"Got nothing to say, Loup? Guess your smart mouth must've been sewn shut after we beat the crap outta ya." Rhino bellowed.
"Nah. I was thinking how I'm going to pulverise your ugly mug." I replied with a cocky tone.
Rhino's smirk faded and was replaced with a scowl.
"You should've stayed in your hospital bed, punk." He growled. He pointed at me. "Waste him."
His men darted at me. One threw a punch at me. I ducked and uppercut him in the chin, knocking him out. Another snapped a kick at my stomach. I caught his leg and used my foot to sweep him of his feet. As he landed, I elbowed his knee. The man howled in pain as he clutched his broken leg. I continued to fight Rhino's men, dodging and countering their attacks.
After a good 5 minutes, all of Rhino's men were either out cold or clutching their broken bones. The last man fired his gun at me. I deflected the bullet with my escrima stick, ricocheting the bullet at his hand. He dropped his gun and clutched his injured hand. I kicked him square in the nose, knocking him out.
"If you think I'm going to let scum like you go around and kill innocent people, then you don't know me." I growled and cracked my knuckles.
Rhino scowled at me and prepared to ram into me.
"You're gonna regret the day you returned to Paris, punk." He said and darted towards me. I somersaulted over him and threw my boomerang at him. It bounced of his head.
"The only thing I regret was allowing myself to be beaten by you. And endangering Paris. It's high time that I correct that by putting you behind bars." I said as I caught the boomerang.
"Try me." Rhino growled.
"Oh. I will." I said and darted towards him.
