Alex POV
I woke up with a gasp and looked around to check my surroundings.
I felt a sharp pain in my ribs and placed a hand on the bandages on my torso. Then, I remembered.
Electric Man and his friends. Chloe/Hell Wolf. A figure came to rescue me from drowning.
How long was I out?
I got up from the bed and looked at my suit. The chest plate is heavily damaged and the jumpsuit is torn. Thankfully, my trench coat and boots are still wearable. I searched through the laundry and found a pair of jeans and a t shirt to wear. I put them on and pulled on my mask. I heard a crash from outside my room.
As I peeked out from the door and saw King Monkey and Pegasus fighting Rhino and Electric Man. I reached for my eskrima sticks only to find out that I don't have them anymore. I cursed under my breath. Most, if not all, of my equipment are probably at the bottom of the river.
I sighed and raced out of my room to help King Monkey and Pegasus.
Max POV
Kim crashed into the wall and blacked out. I clutched my wounded arm and panted for breath.
"Hmph! Pathetic! You two are just as weak as your friend. Don't worry, you'll be joining him soon!" Rhino said. Electric Man sparked his gauntlets and smirked.
I closed my eyes and braced myself. Until, I saw a boy in a black trench coat with a white wolf insignia on his back, blue jeans, a black t shirt, a black wolf mask and black boots shoulder barge Electric Man into Rhino, causing them to be electrocuted by the fuse box and knocked out.
"Alex?" I asked. The boy nodded and picked up Kim and carried him to the room he was in. He turned around and pulled of his mask, revealing his bruised face.
"Max I need you to tell me what the hell is going on." Alex said.
I nodded and explained everything.
After my explanation, Alex sat on the bed opposite Kim was lying on.
"Mon Dieu. I was in a coma for a week. And Paris is now a hell on Earth." He said. I nodded.
"And will you were out cold, we've been fighting against Chloe's army of chaos to get back Paris. If this keeps up. we're done for." I added.
Alex sighed and got up.
"Summon a portal to my house. I need to get my equipment." He said.
"I'm afraid I can't. All the houses have been raided and destroyed." I said.
Alex pulled out note from his trench coat pocket. It said an address.
"Uncle Joseph gave me this note some time after the events of Madam Peacock. He said it should help me out." He said.
"Where is the address located?" I asked.
"In my old home in Detroit." Alex said.
Since Alex and I are well acquainted with each other, I knew about his parent's death. And how he became The Vigilante.
"Can you send a portal to Detroit?" Alex asked. I nodded and used Voyage to summon a portal.
"I'll go with you. To help you get back." I said. Alex nodded.
Kim regained consciousness and asked what happened. Alex explained everything and asked if he could help out the others while he and I are away.
"I'll do what I can from here. Just hurry back." Kim said.
"Will do. Merci, mon ami." Alex said and fist bumped Kim before entering the portal.
"I'll be back soon." I said.
"I'll wait." Kim replied with a nod.
I entered the portal and landed next to Alex. We stood in front of a house with a garden that hasn't been looked after in years.
"Is this the place?" I asked.
"Yeah. I'm home." Alex replied bitterly.
