Chapter 7: A Brief Encounter

Chloe POV

My plan was a success.

All the inmates are roaming around Paris, trashing everything in sight -buildings and all, terrorising civilians and killing the police officers.

Mayor Andre was hospitalised along with Sabrina's father, not that I cared. 

However, The French Miraculous Superhero Team still remain as a thorn on my side and are still at large. 

During my sweep in the once called City of Love, I saw Tina wearing that ridiculous costume, running across the rooftops. I landed in front of her with a smirk.

"Hello there." I said. Her eyes shone with rage as she reached for her bow and arrow and aimed it at me.

"I should just put an arrow in between your eyes for what you did!" She said.

I laughed. "You don't have the guts to kill me."

"Try me." She said and fired the arrow at me. I easily dodged the arrow and swiped my claw at her. She blocked it with her bow but the impact shattered it.

"Looks like I broke your toy." I said with a smirk. Tina looked at the shattered remains of her bow. I picked her up by the neck.

"It's time for you to join your boy toy in the afterlife." I said and unsheathed my claws.

Just as I was about to finish her off, a green shield struck me in the head, causing me to release Tina.

Carapace caught his shield and pointed his baton at me. Rena Rouge helped up a coughing Tina.

"Hmph. Guess losers always defend each other. Enjoy what little life you have left." I said and left them.  

Nino POV

"Thanks for the help." Tina said as she massaged her neck.

"No problem, dudette." I said with a smirk and a thumbs up.

We followed her to their house, which was raided. 

"Damn, they even took the TV and console." I said with a sigh.

"You've been to Alex's house? Why didn't you invite me!?" Alya pouted.

"You said you were busy. Tell you what? Next time I get invited, I'll bring you along." I said.

"Deal." Alya said and kissed me on the cheek.

"So, why are we here?" I asked.

"Alex said he had a work desk were he built his gear which belonged to his late godfather. I'm going to go and repair my bow." I said as I made my way to the basement.

Half an hour of work, I managed to make my bow which can be formed into a sword with a touch of a button. I even crafted armour piercing arrows. 

"It's a good thing that they didn't find the attic." Nino said as he twirled his new baton.

"C'mon. The others are waiting for us." Alya said as she made her way to the school. Nino and I followed.
