Mysterious happenings

Three months pass, and Emerald begins sensing a magical imbalance within another realm and goes in search of Sapphire, Shadow and Silver, to find that they're not around. Emerald soon makes a magical screen to contact them.

"Hi, there." Emerald greets

"Hey, what's the problem?" Silver asks

"I'm sensing a magical imbalance, but I can't pinpoint where it's coming from." Emerald informs

"Are you sure about that?"

"I'm certain. I can't talk long, since this contact method doesn't last long. Goodbye for now."

The magical screen burns out. As for Sapphire, she's confused as to what's been said.

"A magical imbalance? I didn't sense anything before we got here." Sapphire says

"It's probably a false alarm. You know how kids are." Silver responds

"Emerald isn't the type for joking around." Shadow says

"I still don't believe it. Let's move, we've got Chaos to rid."

Sapphire, Shadow and Silver continue with their mission and revive peace in their current location. Shadow and Silver head for home, to be stopped by Sapphire.

"Shouldn't we check around first? We made the mistake of not doing so last time and risked someone's mental state." Sapphire asks and points out

"What do you mean?" Silver asks

"Emerald had a nightmare and another villain from her world caused it. That's why Sapphire's suggesting that we check around for other dangers to the natives." Shadow answers

The trio look around for more dangers and don't find anything. They all decide to go home. Oblivious to them, a murky, magical figure lurks in the distance. As for Emerald, she waits at the portal as Sapphire, Shadow and Silver return.

"Hi there, Emerald." Silver greets

"Hello, Silver. It's good to see you again." Emerald greets

"Besides all the meet and greets, you were talking of a magical imbalance." Shadow points out

"Yes, I was. Come with me, we need to travel somewhere."

Emerald leads the way as Sapphire, Shadow and Silver follow. They're soon travelling to another, secret world. Sapphire looks around and admires her surroundings.

"What is this place?" Sapphire asks

"This is a world that I keep for myself. It doesn't have other inhabitants, so it's the perfect place to observe the worlds you all travel to and find out where magical imbalances are coming from." Emerald responds

"How did you find this place?" Shadow asks

"Whilst I was travelling through different worlds, I found this world and made my facilities here. Since then, I've come here when there's been a magical imbalance and went to the world affected, alone."

Shadow looks around and spots what looks like a board with different places plotted together.

"Are you a guardian of some sort?" Silver asks

"My mother was a guardian of the realms, before she passed away. Since then, I've taken her place." Emerald answers

"At four years old?"

"I know, a hard task and leaves almost no time to think about being a child. My only break is Christmas and New Year. But I don't think to rest, even then."

Sapphire hears this and is quickly saddened. Sapphire quickly realises something; Emerald doesn't have time to find out who she is.

"Do you want to find out who you are?" Sapphire asks
