Niki woke up in the morning with a headache, 'Great..' she thought '..this is exactly how I wanted to spend the morning.' She was pulled out of her thoughts by the sound of birds chirping.
It was strange to her, how the whole word has gone to shit and yet the sun shines and the birds chirp.
How the hell was she going to survive?
She got up and stretched her achy bones, the floor was concrete, so her body was naturally stiff.
She decided, the store was unfit to sleeping in again, so she left.
'Must've rained last night...I didn't notice..whatever happened left a mess..' there was debris everywhere, fallen limbs from trees and walkers were everywhere.
Trash littered the streets and roofs on some of the stores were messed up.
'Damn, I sure as hell got lucky.' She had thought about sleeping outside, on a roof somewhere.
She was glad she didn't.
She made her way to the main street, she was going to cover more distance to her brother.
She hummed to herself quietly walking with the melody.
She was distracted and happy, she wondered what her brother was up to, that is if he is alive.
She tried not to think about it, if he was alive or not, that is.
It hurt her inside to think about the tragedy of her brothers death. If she ever saw him as one of the living dead...she might just lose it.
She continued walking the streets that used to be filled with people, alive people.
Trees were down, some trapped walkers underneath, some took down useless powerlines, and some damaged houses.
She wanted to go to the houses, to see if any survivors needed help, but she really, really needed to get to her brother.
Something inside her though, made her check out a house.

It was late in the night, Tommy was feeling better, and well energized, so he couldn't sleep.
He was in the living room minding his business, he didnt want to disturb the others.
He could hear rustling outside, he couldnt tell if it was wind, or the monsters.
Either way he was scared, he didnt like thunderstorms.
Tommy often wished that the thunder didn't bother him so much, it was always a fear he had.
The lightning not so much, he liked the colors that the lightning would make, the thunder was just a dark sound that shattered his eardrums.
He didnt have much to do by himself, he mostly hummed to himself with the accasional interruption of the thunder.
That was until the wind picked up, and the shadows of trees outside were moving like crazy.
Tommy was worried, before the whole thing, Tommy's dad used to be a meteorologist.
He would tell him that when the wind gets bad, its best to steer clear from the windows.
The windows were blocked off, but, Tommy was still afraid.
He hopped off the couch and stumbled towards Phil and Wilburs shared room.
He opened the door quietly and saw Wilbur sleeping soundly facing the door.
Tommy creeped around to the other side and saw Phil sleeping aswell.
