Chapter 10: Meeting Ranboo

Sam stayed awake, not like he wasnt use to staying up all night. Punz and Purpled were asleep next to him. They were on the other side of the gas station, away from the other group.

Both groups agreed to stay on separate sides. It made them feel more comfortable.

Punz started to doze awake, Sam didn't seem to notice.

"Sam? Why are you still awake?" Punz asked in a very low whisper, not trying to disturb Purpled or the other people trying to sleep.

Sam looked over to him, half suprised to see him awake and half not. "Couldn't sleep." He shrugged, Punz scoffed. He readjusted Purpled to where he would be sleeping more comfortably.

Making sure Purpled wouldn't wake by their talking, he continued. "Sam you need sleep. The human body is no good when it doesn't have time to rest." Punz explained, it was Sam's turn to scoff.

"Its fine, I'm fine." Sam said with a smile, to Punz the smile seemed so genuine, so real. He was afraid that it wasn't.

"No you're sleeping. C'mon, lay down." As Purpled was sleeping on Punz's legs, he thought it was a better idea for Sam to sleep on his shoulder. Punz continued to pat his shoulder even though Sam gave him a weird look.

"No, its fine really- Sam i will kick my foot so far up your ass if you do not lay down on my shoulder and sleep." Punz interupted, Sam held in a laugh. Their whispering was already getting a little loud, but not loud enough to disturb anyone else.

"..fine.." Sam said reluctantly, he was skittish at first, but he soon layed his head on Punz's shoulder. Punz forced himself to not laugh, "Good now, sleep!" He instructed, Sam laughed a little, "You sound like a mom." He stated plainly, Punz nudged his shoulder making Sam's head move, "Alright, alright." Sam said, keeping his voice down but Punz could hear the laughter in his words.

It soon fell quiet between them, Sam started to doze of, tiredness finally hitting him. With a yawn, he was fast asleep. Punz tried his best to stay awake but he failed. He fell asleep quickly, laying his head on Sam's.

On the other side of the gas station. Karl and Niki were wide awake, Tommy was asleep on the floor next to them, longing for the warmth of a person.

"Niki, I don't want you to go on your own, and frankly, I don't think I can take care and protect Tommy, on my own." Karl whispered, they were looking on a map, she located how far away she was from her brother, he wasnt far but she can't take Karl and Tommy with her. She knew she couldn't protect them.

"Why don't you and Tommy go with the others? Tommy and Purpled are already friends and I'd hate to separate them. You and him shouldn't be separated either because you are all he has left." Niki explained, Karl sighed, it wasn't a bad idea.

"They won't let us join their group, at most they'll let Tommy join..but I doubt they'll let me tag along." Karl speculated, "You're thinking too much about it. Let's get some sleep, then we'll talk with them tomorrow." Niki suggested, Karl agreed to the idea. He was starting to get very sleepy.

Soon, the sun rose, and so did the two groups. They met outside to talk to eachother about how they wanted to go forward.

"We'd be more than happy to join our groups. Purpled and Tommy are already good friends. I'd hate to separate them, especially in this kind of world." Sam said, Tommy and Purpled were talking, not paying them any attention.

"Well, where are you guys planning on going?" Karl asked, Niki already made up her mind on leaving the group, though she hasn't shared that information with them.
