George's POV

I saw Clay was really stressed so I stood up to go after him. He went into the bathrooms and I walked in after him a while later. I was startled when I heard him cry softly and I knocked on the door.

'Clay?' I asked with a quiet voice.

The sobs immediately stopped and I heard him clear his throat, opening the stall. Before I realised what was going on, he grabbed my hand and pulled me inside. I sat down on his lap and wrapped my arms around his neck as he sighed softly.

'What's wrong?' I questioned, giving him a tight hug as he wiped his tears away. 'Did Sapnap do anything?'

Clay didn't answer me and stared in front of him with a distant look in his eyes. He was zoned out and was startled, lifting his head up again.

'Clay?'

He sniffed softly and grabbed my hands, resting them on my lap as he sighed.

'George, do you trust me?' he asked me as he looked me into my eyes.

'I do, yes,' I answered his question.

'One hundred percent?' he questioned again, holding my hands tightly.

'I do, I trust you more than that,' I replied.

'George, I have to do something that we both won't like and that will break both our hearts, but I PROMISE you that I have an explanation for it which I can't tell you yet,' he explained.

I nodded slowly. 'What is it?' I mumbled.

'Promise me that you trust me.'

'I promise.' I stuck my pinkie out and he did the same, promising that we trusted each other.

'George, I promise that I wouldn't lie to you, okay? I love you with my whole heart, but I have to do this. I'm so sorry for it.'

'What? You're scaring me,' I whispered.

'I can't be seen with you for a while, we can't be friends,' he murmured, looking down at our hands together. 'But I love you more than anyone, okay?'

'O-okay,' I sniffed, fighting against my tears.

'George, please trust me. I will explain it to you when it's safe again,' he promised.

'I t-trust you, it j-just hurts,' I sobbed.

'It does,' he whispered. 'I'm so sorry. I wish this wouldn't have been so soon, but if you want to wait for me, I'm coming back to you when I can explain what happened.'

I nodded slowly and he gave me a short hug. 'I love you,' he smiled. 'A lot.'

'I love you too,' I sobbed, feeling tears roll down my face now.

'I'm sorry, but I want to leave now. I really want to comfort you, but it's absolutely breaking my heart to see you this sad because of me. I'm going to give you something to promise you that you can trust me,' he told me.

He reached out for his bag and sighed softly as he grabbed a very small stuffed bear. 'I always take it with me, I got it from my mother. I want you to take care of it while I'm gone. I really love this bear so please keep it safe.'

I hugged it against my body and nodded while tears streamed down my face. 'I'll keep it safe,' I whispered.

'Can I hug you again?' Clay asked me. 'I want to make sure that you know I still love you.'

I nodded and hugged him one last time. After the hug, I stood up slowly and walked off with the bear in my bag. Tears didn't stop streaming down anymore and I slowly went back to Quackity, sitting down next to him.

'My goodness, what's wrong?' he yelled out as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. 'What happened?'

'He said that we can't be friends anymore,' I whispered, sniffing loudly.

'Where is he? I'm going to talk with that bitch,' Quackity shouted as he lifted himself up to walk away.

'No, he didn't want to either,' I explained sadly. 'I promised that I'd trust him, but he can't tell me why yet.'

'I don't trust that dickhead, he hurt you. Where is he at? I need to have a conversation with him.'

'No, he gave me his most precious gift so I would actually trust him,' I answered as I pushed Quackity back on his chair. I lifted the bear he gave me. 'Look. It's from his mother and he asked me to take care of it until he's ready to explain me what happened.'

Quackity nodded slowly and looked up as Clay walked back into the cantina with red eyes and tears on his cheeks. He seemed to walk up to Sapnap and said something I didn't understand.

I was about to look away as I saw Clay push Sapnap which caused him to fall down on the floor. 'I HATE YOU,' Clay screamed at Sapnap, kicking the side of his chest. 'YOU LIKE THAT, HUH?'

Quackity noticed the anger in Clay's eyes and jumped up, running to Clay to get him away. Clay got so mad that he pushed Quackity away and fell down on his knees next to Sapnap, hitting him in his face over and over again until two teachers ran up to him, grabbing his waist.

He got pulled with them and Sapnap got helped up, his nose was bleeding. One of his friends handed him a napkin and repeatedly asked if he was okay while Clay got pulled to the principal's office.

Quackity sat back down next to me and looked in shock. 'What went through his head?'

'I don't know either,' I whispered. 'But Sapnap probably has something to do with all of this misery.'

Quackity sighed softly and pulled me closer. 'I'm going to cheer you up for as long as you need me to. What about watching a movie after school? I can get popcorn for you.'

I smiled. 'That would be appreciated.'

'What flavour?' he asked as he leaned back. 'Oh, I know. You want popcorn with caramel, don't you?'

I giggled. 'Maybe.'

'Oh, and you probably want one of those boring romantic movies. Or just a happy movie? How about that?'

'Sounds good.'

'You're coming to my place, alright? We can lay down on my bed and close all the curtains so it's almost a cinema. No one is at home so I'll turn the sound up high.'

'Thanks for being this sweet,' I smiled.

'I'm not letting my buddy feel sad. I'm going to do anything I can to cheer you up,' he stated. 'Anything!'
