The Basics/Author's Note

So this first 'chapter' (so to speak) is basically going to be some basic information about some of the characters and the universe that these events take place in. As well a few reference photos for 'Raven Ward'

Notable Information (prior to the beginning of story)

➜Raven was adopted by Pepper Potts' sister (Jenna Ward) as a baby in 1992

➜Pepper became Raven's legal guardian after Jenna died in 2006

➜Tony and Pepper got married in 2011 {After the events of Iron-Man 2}

➜Tony legally adopted Raven (despite her already being 19) after marrying Pepper to ensure a secure future for her should anything happen to him and Pepper

➜Loki never told anyone about his 'Soulmark' since he didn't know for over 1000 years why the symbol appeared the morning after his 21st name day or what it meant {he researched his Jotun heritage while temporarily imprisoned in Asgard during the beginning of 'Thor: The Dark World' and discovered that it was something called a 'Soulmark'}

➜Loki is banished to Midgard (Earth) for his crimes against Asgard & Midgard {during the events of 'Thor' and 'The Avengers'} and because Odin blames him for Frigga's death {during the events of 'Thor: The Dark World}

➜Thor travels with him {having worked out a deal with S.H.I.E.L.D. and Tony Stark to imprison Loki in a newly engineered cell in the sub-basement of Avengers tower designed by Raven}

Background Information

➜'Soulmarks' appear the day after a person's 21st birthday

➜'Soulmarks' are a trait in royal Jotun males in order to find their ideal mate

➜'Soulmarks' are normally a symbol (or shape) that glows when your soulmate is near

➜Soulmates can harness a telepathic form of communication

➜Raven has always looked up to Tony as an uncle/father figure after meeting him when she was 14 and has since aspired to be an inventor like him

➜Raven has always been highly empathic and discovered a natural affinity for the mystical arts and sorcery on the eve of her 16th birthday {no one but her knows about these powers}

➜In this story Loki never faked his death {during the events of 'Thor: The Dark World'} instead hoping that helping Thor defeat the dark elves would garner him some sort of leniency with Odin regarding his punishment
