"Mission: Attack"

[A/N: So this one and the next one were originally all one chapter. I thought that it would be a bit much to do all as one so I decided to split it up part way through. As always don't forget to vote and let me know in the comments what you guys think so far. Also there won't be any notes at the end of this chapter or the beginning of the next one so that the story will be able to flow smoothly across the chapters. I just need to proofread the next chapter really quick and then it will be posted as well. ENJOY :) ]

Raven and Thor were making their way back towards Loki's cell; laughing about some joke that she had just made when her phone vibrated once more, this time it was a text from Nat.

[Tony says...]

['head to training floor with nat']

[lol okay]

[one second]

"I've gotta meet Nat on the training floor" she said to Thor as she gave him a slight hug before turning around and stepping right back into the elevator they had just exited.

After pinning Raven to the mat once more it became obvious to Natasha that something was on Raven's mind keeping her from being able to properly focus on defending herself from Nat's punches.

"Okay spill" Nat said as she helped Raven up from the floor.

"What?" Raven asked, trying to act as if she had no clue what Nat was talking about.

"I haven't been able to pin you more than maybe once a week for the last 2 months and now I've done it TWICE; in the last 35 minutes. Obviously something is on your mind so...spill." Nat said matter-of-factly

Raven hesitated for a moment wondering if she should tell Nat what was actually on her mind. "You have to PROMISE that you won't tell a single fucking person on this planet or any other planet for that matter."

Nat was kind of surprised how serious Raven sounded about such an intense vow of secrecy. "I promise I will not tell a soul without your expressed permission." She said laying a hand on top of one of Raven's.

"Okay so it's about this." Raven said, directing Nat's attention to the mark on her left wrist.

"Your tattoo?" Natasha asked, now very confused.

"Sort of. So I don't think it's a tattoo after all." Raven could tell her words were just confusing Nat so she decided to summon the book that she had been reading earlier. "Here, this will help me explain better." She opened the book to the section she had been studying earlier and began explaining it all to Nat.

"Okay so you saw that symbol at some point and got it tattooed or something. I mean it's not like your arm can glow." Nat said now pacing back and forth while Raven remained seated on the floor.

"About that." Raven trailed off and Natasha turned to look at her.

"You glowed? When?" Nat was now both curious and concerned.

"So this is the part where I have to make you promise NOT to lose your shit." Raven said standing up and walking over to where Nat was standing.

"Again I promise." Nat said, giving Raven a reassuring smile.

Raven took a deep breath and said "It only glows when I'm in the basement...around Loki"

Nat didn't respond so Raven added "Loki is actually a Jotun and son of their King Laufey making him a male member of Jotun royalty. Unfortunately it all adds up."
