Dear friend,
I was telling you about yesterday's events, when I received a call by Zayn and left the house. That's why I couldn't finish writing about it. Well, let me tell you what happened yesterday...
So, I went in and Jared and Zayn were waiting for me. I greeted both of them and asked Zayn why he had asked me to come. Before Zayn could even open his mouth, Jared had jumped in. "Actually, it was me, not Zayn, who wanted you to come here. Since we did not talk about the deal in all its details last night, I thought we'd continue our conversation here." He smirked and I couldn't help but grin as well. However, that smile disappeared as soon as I looked at Zayn, who was looking seriously pissed at that point. "Oh my, what's even happening here?" I thought to myself, but kept my mouth shut, anything I said would probably make it even worse. "Glad you came." Jared noted and offered me a seat with a smile.
"Yes. Let's talk about business for a minute, shall we?" Zayn hissed after I had sat down and Jared and I were chatting about last night's events a bit. I have seen him angry and upset in the short amount of time I've known him. But this was different. I don't know whether they have any problems concerning the deal or it's a personal thing, but it's certainly bugging me.
Nevertheless, we talked about the deal this time. Obviously also Jared noticed that something was wrong with Zayn and the conversation stayed rather serious from then on. Since Zayn's business is something like a forwarding agency, the deal was about the transportation of some goods they didn't name in particular, but from what I understood it was nothing very risky, as it is usual in this company.
I didn't get why I had to be present, because I don't really have anything to do with this one job. At least that's what I thought until that night.
And this one is about the phone call I received that day, when I left the house to visit Zayn's "office" for a second time that day. But this time, it was only Zayn and I in the large hall. Everyone else had already left, either home or to fulfil their tasks for the day, I don't know. I asked Zayn what the matter was, while taking my usual seat across his desk. Zayn was wandering around the room, seemingly stressed out. "Do you want to be a part of this deal?" He asked after a while and I didn't know how to react. I couldn't answer that question, I mean, Jared is nice, but there's many more people involved in this and I don't even know exactly what "this" is, how can I take part in it?
"Yes or no? I don't want to talk about this any longer, just tell me now!" Zayn barked after a few seconds had passed. I gave him a surprised glare. How dare he scream at me for something like that? He may be my boss in a sick, twisted way, but I'm not going to let him act like that towards me.
"I don't know, ok? Why do you always have the urge to shout at others and can't control your temper? You are crazy! Screaming at me for something like that. I don't know, I just do not know. This is not something I'm used to. But of course, you have no understanding for that, it's ok." I yelled and that seemed to have an even worse effect on him.
"Yeah, you have no experience in this business, but when it comes to being all lovey-dovey with Jared, you are in the front row! This is serious business and you don't seem to know that this is important." He added furiously. What? Is he out of his mind? I asked myself. After all, he was the one who wanted me to "accompany" Jared. I told him exactly that and his reaction was the stupidest thing I heard in a while. "I told you to accompany him for that dinner, not that you're acting all lovey-dovey all day and then also go out afterwards with him. You seem to forget that this is a business thing, you're endangering everyone in this company. Did you even think about that for a second when flirting with him?" He belted and turned around to face me.
I refused to accept that behaviour, so I just stood up and attempted to leave the room, without saying another word. Well, I tried. He stopped me by grabbing my arm and didn't let me go, no matter how hard I tried. "You know what? I hate you! You destroyed my life in so many aspects, you could at least try to be a little more nice about it, but no. I really despise you right now." I hissed.
This one, however, seemed to have an effect on him. His eyes softened and after a moment of silence he admitted he had overreacted. Now, that's a progress. I didn't know he was able to see his own mistakes, that's remarkable. But he still did it, which means he'll most probably do it again in future.
"Just do whatever you think is right. My opinion doesn't matter anyway, I'm used to that by now." I answered dryly and turned around to, finally, leave the building.

Now guys, I know it's been a long time, but I hope you liked it either way. I promised I'd write another chapter after my A levels are over, so here it is :)
The events of the last days shocked us all, but yes, I'm going to continue this story and also my other one, Dreamless. Especially because this one's AU and therefore has nothing to do with Zayn being in One Direction. Hope you stick to the story :)
Please leave your feedback, I love reading your comments ❤❤
