the blonde boy looked at his partner with worry filling his face. his dark emerald eyes looked at his partner's eye, which now is filled with tears spilling away from their pretty eyes.

he was awoken by the sound of someone sounding like they're having a hard time.

his got on top of his partner, before they finally opened their eyes.

you groaned as you quickly opened your eyes, seeing inui on top of you. you blinked a few times, thinking you were just hallucinating.

"ah- i'm sorry. another nightmare?" inui said before quickly getting off you as soon as he realized you were already awake and how he was in an awkward position right now. he proceeded to sit beside you as you hummed in response; telling him a 'yes'

you sat up as you rubbed your eyes, adjusting them to the room's light with the bed light as the only light source other than the moonlight that crept inside the room from the slightly opened window.

"what were you doing?" you asked him as you sat up, facing him. your hand trailed to your wet cheeks. "ah, i was crying."

"sorry, i was gonna wake you up and maybe eat your nightmares." he said, grabbing some tissues on the night stand as he wiped your tears away with the tissues he just took before tossing them to the bin across the room after.

"what time is it?" you asked him, realizing how the sky is still dark.

"it's currently 2 AM." inui said, kissing your forehead.

to be honest, you were still pretty shocked and scared, it has been a while since you've gotten some nightmare. well- you rarely had any dream and when you had one, it usuallu were the good ones.

"you're awake now, it's okay. it's just a dream." he said, patting your head as you rest your head on his chest.

he played with your hair, and your hand snaked around his waist as you snuggled closer to the blonde haired guy.

inui was smiling reallyyy widely. he was embarassed yet happy that you were embracing him. and god he was so happy to have you as his partner, there's no days where he assumed is a 'bad day' since everytime he does, you're always there to light up his days once again.

how he wished he could marry you some day, for now he's still trying to learn more about financial things with kokonoi, wanting you and him to have a bright future together.

he wouldn't want to you to have a hard time in the future, right?

"inupi, i'm hungry." you said as you let go of the hug and took out your phone. "should we order some food?"

"I don't think they're open now, i can cook us some food though." he gave you a gentle smile.

"no, that would just burden you." you said as you turn your phone off again.

"no, no. i insist."

"no, i can do it myself."

"let's just do it together."

"can you pass the salt?"

"mhmm" you said as you grabbed some salt and hand them to inui.

"thank you, love."

you nodded as you stood behind him, embracing him from the back. inui was taken back by your actions, but nothing he would complain about. he was blushing like crazy, and only for you he'd do this.

he always felt comfortable around you, how you were the light of his little world and how his heart always softens around you, it's like a miracle to him to meet such a beautiful person like you.

and you didn't feel any different towards him. although he was involved in fights a lot, he's still respectful around you, how he always knows his boundaries and how he always makes sure to never raise his voice at you.

yes, there's time where he raises his voice to other around you, but that's when it's really needed. there's time where he jokes around but there's time where he's serious too.

and he could even cook for you, how perfect could he be?

"food's ready." inui said as he giggled, looking at how cute you were in his sight.

"ah, it smells so good!" you said as you walked to the counter; inui put the plate, filled with delicious looking food in front of you before you digged in quickly, of course, with inui.

"your cooking has always been so good!" you said, favoring the taste dramatically.

"you're exaggerating." inui said; rolling his eyes as he pats your head before taking another spoon of food to fill his stomach.

"i'm nooott!"

"y/n, you can rely to me whenever you have nightmares, i'll always be here for you, okay?"
