-Repeated school year, second semester-

Change...

Such a subtle yet terrifying factor in a person's life, it was so easy for their life to be turned upside down, falling as fast as they climbed.

You'd think that a year would be enough to finally calm any remaining hatred I had, enough for me to forget the past and move on, yet, the wait only made me more eager.

And at last, that fated day would finally come, the timely hour where the epilogue that would end this broken story would finally befall.

'After this is over, I'll finally be free, isn't that right? Minako? Hiyuki?'

Heading over to the school campus I've once left, bitter memories of that time resurfaced, but before they could even begin to infect my thoughts, they were all burned to ashes by my seething rage.

Today was the day everything would end, and I hoped with every fiber of my being that it would be for good this time.

With a sigh, I decided it was time to get to business, scanning my surroundings, I looked around to find my target, and sure enough, there she was.

Without me to leech on, it was a given that she couldn't get high enough marks to pass and repeated her grade just like me, given that I didn't attend school at all for a whole year.

'That's what you get for being a bitch, you should've studied more instead of hanging around bad influences like that whore bethany'

'Time is endless, yet it lasts only for a fleeting moment'

At this point, I was desperate, I couldn't wait any longer as my patience was slowly running out, I've wanted to kill her on the spot countless times, but pray-tell that wouldn't be very wise.

'I need to have more self-control'

I told myself that countless times, repeating it over and over again like a broken record, but things have seemingly gotten worst since that day, I could tell my bloodlust has dramatically increased due to the long wait.

Hence why I had meditation as a distraction to calm my thoughts and suppress my thinning patience for the whole year I was gone from school.

Ever since the day I've gotten my revenge, I couldn't forget the amount of pleasure it gave me when I succeeded, enthralled by the taste of vengeance so much that I would down spiral into my own abyss.

I tried hard to sate my anger, looking for a distraction as I peeked through the window, my mind fleeting to whatever was outside.

Fleeting.... Yes, my mind was afloat at that time so I couldn't comprehend what was happening right away...

But what my eyes saw simply shocked me, through the distance; I could see that several buildings were on fire, and streets were filled with smoke.

And just as I was about to speak, a huge alarm went off and students began to panic, they looked outside to see what was going on, but that didn't seem to help as it only increased their ever-growing fear even more.

After-all who could blame them for acting like that after seeing a person outside get bit and turned into one of those weird things that resembled a zombie.

It was like the start of a horror movie, a scene where everything was normal a few seconds ago, then you're caught off guard the next, and an apocalypse is right before your eyes.

In their panicked state, majority started running towards the faculty room in hopes of getting the keys for the school buses outside.

Seeing the mess in front of me, I only clicked my tongue as I looked at them with eyes of pity in disgust.
