"4:33 Am, it's quite cold..."
Taking a small glimpse at her watch, shirano heaved a sigh, despite being underground, the cold morning air permeated her surroundings, making her shiver slightly as she sat outside the train's ledge.
With her eyes slowly getting heavy, she decided that she hit her limit and could no longer keep watch, thus prompting to wake Horaiji up to switch over.
Fingers glossing over the door handle, she let out a tired yawn before swiftly prying it open, opting to approach the sleeping horaiji.
"Chuuni, time to switch, get up"
Tossing and turning slightly, horaiji struggled to get up in a hazy state, hunching over as she forced herself up, only nodding a few times to reply.
"Understood"
Leaving only those words, horaiji got up and headed for the door, washing her face with cold water to pry herself awake and keep watch.
As the doors closed when horaiji left, the silence of the train flooded the darkness, except for the gentle snores of her companions, everything else was quiet.
Carefully threading through the darkness as her feet trotted in silence, shirano did her best as to not wake them up, passing by their sleeping figures and baggage skillfully.
She kept going until she made it to the couple, both of them were asleep making shirano think they were pretty stupid for being so carefree with strangers on board.
"Naïve"
Her fingers reached towards her pocket on instinct, the shape of her handgun glossing over her hands, making her contemplate for a moment.
'Should I eliminate them?'
Thinking about it, the two had already served their purpose, even if she were to get rid of them now, her group can find their way to hidsburgh on their own.
With the silencer attached, shirano took out her handgun and aimed it at the two sleeping defenseless figures, her fingers sliding over the trigger.
Letting them stay would harbor too much risk of betrayal, especially since they're a couple, love is dangerous because it can drive you to do the impossible.
*Ka-chink*
With a click, the gun was loaded, prompting shirano to take aim, the nozzle pointed towards the boy ryan, hovering slightly while shirano tries to stabilize the shot.
'I should eliminate him first, the girl is weaker so it won't matter even if she wakes up, for now I just have to be quick'
But before she could even press the trigger, her hands went down on their own, the index finger holding the trigger also slowly retracted.
'Why am I hesitating... it's only the logical thing to do, so why can't I do it!?'
Heaving a sigh, she put the gun back in her pocket and found a seat to sleep in, grunting as she laid on her back and closed off her eyes in order to sleep.
'No... it's too reckless, the group might turn on me if I kill them without reason, and the last thing I need is betrayal because of tyranny'
Collecting her thoughts and calming down her rapid heartbeat, shirano sat down and closed off her eyes to rest for a moment, the signs of paranoia being evident due to the lack of sleep she had been getting lately.
'Calm down... there's no merit in being hasty, until the time comes when you have a valid reason to abandon them, you cannot jeopardize your role as a leader'
