Chapter 8: Reburn the world

I looked at the rope I was holding and the hook on the end of it, I shook it as hard as I could, confirming one last time before I begun to spin it.

"Kyah?! What're you doing? Oh! I get it, you're gonna go all bronco and round up all the zombies like an outlaw from the wild west right?!"

The girl with white hair looked at me with sparkling eyes filled with anticipation while I looked away in disappointment.

'Naïve! She's too dumb!' if I could, I would've facepalmed myself right now'

"Uhhh... kiana-chan, I don't think that's her intention, she's probably gonna swing it at a building in the other direction closest to us"

The other girl tapped her shoulder and went to correct her misunderstanding.

"Eh!? How come mei can tell? I was pretty sure she was gonna go all yeehaw and buckle up the zombies, wouldn't that be awesome!?..."

"Ah... anyone can tell by looking, it just happens that kiana-chan has a wild imagination, ahaha..." The purple haired girl responded in an awkward tone.

"If you girls are coming, then bring out your handkerchief now" I informed them, we needed to act fast after-all

They both complied and did as I asked without a hint of doubt.

'That's weird, why are they so quick to trust me? Normally you wouldn't do what a stranger asked you to do, even if they're your benefactor, I haven't even explained to them yet what the handkerchiefs are for, well I guess anyone would unconsciously loose grip of common sense in situations like these huh? especially since the world is no longer a safe place and that tiny chances are better than none'

I ignored my train of thought and scanned the building's surroundings till something caught my attention; making me look over at the large air conditioner infront of me.

It was the perfect setup for our getaway, now I just needed to put the plan into motion, but there was one problem...

'Tch! It's too high for me to reach!'

"Listen, I need help right now, if any of you two can make a jump high enough to climb on top of that air con, it would make our escape easier"

The kiana girl lifted her hand and went over to me.

"Oh! Me! Me! I'll do it, im pretty athletic after-all"

"Okay then, get back as far as you think you can and run up to me, I'll give you a boost"

Her eyes glimmered as she was perhaps filled with excitement and she enthusiastically stepped back as far as she could while I knelt on the ground and put both my hands down as I intertwined my fingers to form a stepping pad.

She ran really fast, almost catching me off guard with her speed and balance, it wasn't a crappy bulky run, I could tell she has proper form and training.

-releasing force upon contact with me using a proper nudge, I lifted my hands to give her additional force the moment she stepped on it; as a result, she landed perfectly on top of the aircon as she did a flip.

"Aaaaand purrrrfect! That's a 100 points, kiana kaslana does it again"

She does another idol victory pose, and albeit cute, it made me kinda annoyed for some reason.

"Great(sarcasm)! Can you lend me a hand then?"

"*sweat drop*Okay!"

She smiled and pulled me upwards, then we took the mei girl as-well afterwards.

"Now... time to do this!"

I mustered all the strength I could to spin the rope as I heard the tumbling in the stairs we stood directly underneath in.
