Chapter 10: A con- artist or a lunatic?

[Kiana's P.O.V]

'I can hear it papa!'

My feet sank mildly at the soft ground, every step I did made a loud gushing sound, as everywhere I looked, we were surrounded by a gentle forest of white.

'Well done baby-girl, I knew papa's sweetheart had good hearing...'

A familiar tone struck my ears, it was a voice I hadn't heard in ages, not only that; his nostalgic smile gave the same warmth like I remembered.

It was then when the pieces all came to place, the girl remembered that this was the time he took her on a trip to see the aurora borealis, and she realized that this was just a dream, perhaps a wish.

'Ziggy, you were supposed to take her hunting, not sightseeing, *sighs*, well, she's enjoying it so I won't complain, come here sweetheart, I'll hold your hand'

Another figure she knew too well appeared, perhaps it was because it's the person she wanted to see the most, and possibly the reason she was having this dream.

'Mama...'

My words slipped out uncontrollably, I hardly even noticed, I just now realized, my childish voice sounded so innocent back then, maybe it's because I know something had changed, and I knew it too well.

'Your... hand... is warm...huh?!'

Jolted awake by the blinding lights coming from the curtain, she sighed in disappointment and relief, her breathing was finally beginning to calm, until she noticed something.

"Umph! Mei!"

'Too Close!'

Her body is pressed unto to me and her chest was too close, my head wandered for a lil bit but I tried my best not to make indecent thoughts...

'Is what I would like to say but, this situations isn't helping at all!'

'W-wait!...! What did I do last night!?'

'D-did we...? Ouch! What da hell? My body hurts!'

*Creak, clack!*

Tired and fatigued, her body was practically screaming at that point, even laying on the bed stung her limbs, yet she was able to relax because mei was there to provide comfort, albeit unaware.

As much as I want to struggle, it's better not to make huge movements that would disturb her, it took a lot of effort, but I finally managed get up.

"urk, that took quite a lot out of me, but kaslanas are supposed to be uber good at doing things so, I can be proud of this one hehe"

As I was about to celebrate my newfound feat, a loud grumble interrupted as my body demanded nourishment.

"Eh... looks like victories are short-lived after-all, I guess I don't really have a choice but to wake up mei, all that struggle for nothin *sobs*"

Biting my nails, I unwillingly hovered over back to the bed again, slowly reaching out my arm and gently shaking mei's shoulders.

"Mei... im hungry, I want some fried chicky- uwahhh!"

I was dragged away in an instant directly unto her side, her bright purple eyes stared teasingly at me, while her fingers slowly ran across my cheeks as her lips formed into a grin.

"What's the matter kianna... can't handle it? Is this too much for you?"

Her playful expression made me tingle, I jolted slightly as I got chills on my spine when she pulled me in closer to her.
