Eh? Where am I?
The moment I opened my eyes I saw nothing but darkness. I sat up and stared at my hands, but even though I could feel that they were mere inches away, I couldn't see them. I felt my mind wander and elected to take a deep breath before any toxic thoughts slipped in.
Calm down Tucker. What happened to where you wound up in total darkness? Think about it clearly.
Let's see. Last I remember I talked to Sophia, before playing Tekken and going to dinner. After that, I took a shower, tried on those sweet gauntlets and—."
Wait, did I ever go to sleep? I don't remember. I don't remember. I don't remember!
"Hello!" I yelled out into the darkness.
No response.
I mean, if I didn't go to sleep then I can't be dreaming. Ugh, that can only mean, that the 'gift' I was given was haunted like Arthur's knife. So...I'm dealing with a demon then?
Let's not jump to conclusions. Me being in the dark doesn't necessarily mean I'm inside a demon weapon.
You're being paranoid Tucker. Just calm down and think about it logically.
It's probably my bedroom and I woke up in the middle of the night is all. And it's just really dark because, uh—
I tried to analyze my surroundings, hopefully seeing something, anything that would help calm my nerves, but it was pitch-black.
For crying out loud, I couldn't even see my own hands when they were right in front of my face.
"I'm inside of a demon weapon, aren't I?" I muttered.
Stupid possessed gauntlets. Stupid Sophia for giving said gauntlets.
On the bright side, my weapon demon could be interesting. Although she was a dick, Arthur's demon was a total hottie. Maybe I could get someone like that, but just, ya know, not horrible.
I hopped up to my feet. May as well try to feel around for something.
I think it maybe five steps before I crashed into something and fell to the ground.
What? This is dumb. Stupid darkness.
"Turn on the freaking lights!" I yelled.
I was immediately blinded as every bright light beamed from the ceiling, illuminating the shockingly enormous room I was in. Workout station machines, large weights, and multiple benches were spread across the azure gym. And in the center of the room, was a large blue and pink boxing ring.
"Oh...they're on."
Gotta admit, it looks nice in here. I'd love to hit this place up. Maybe even fight whoever owns this place. Honestly, I was hoping for a hot chick, but a chill guy whose down to spar wouldn't be bad either. Maybe I shouldn't get my hopes up though. It is a demon after all; it could be someone crazy.
I walked around, analyzing the place, but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. There were a few doors that I figured would lead out of here, but they were all locked.
"Hello? Anyone here?" I called.
I know someone has to be here, because I refuse to believe the lights turned on by themselves.
After checking every nook and cranny of the place, I decided to hop in the ring. Who knows, maybe they're looking for some action. I hopped over the ropes and walked to the middle and waited.
I feel like something should be happening now. Maybe I was off the mark?
In the blink of an eye, the lights flicked off and back on.
