-Quese Perspective-
"He's coming right?" Zay asked for the hundredth time. Part of me wanted to toss him out the window but I knew that wasn't right. All it would do is give Bang the green light to act violent.
"He said he's coming," Naia answered for me.
"Yeah, hold your horses little midget," Bang was slouching over the back of his chair.
"I'm not a midget. You're a midget." Zay stuck his tongue out.
"Zay..." Mariella tried pleading with him.
"What? He ain't gon' do nothing."
Bang stood up. Although he wasn't especially tall, his size was more than enough to tower over the dork.
Zay raised up his fist. "W-what! Do something!"
"Zay, your legs are shaking." Key pointed out.
"S-shut up!"
"Bang, sit down." I ordered.
"Nah, I'ma go outside." He grinned. He flicked Zay's forehead and exited the room.
Naia sighed. "He's such a handful."
"So is Zay," Mariella cried.
"Huh? How so!" Zay cried.
"You tried to fight someone three times your size." Nico pointed out.
"And? Woulda had him but he ran."
"Oh is that right?" Nico snickered.
"Yeah, it is."
To think Tucker deals with him on a consistent basis, he's gotta have the patience of a monk. Mariella and Key are pretty easy, but this one takes the cake.
A finger randomly appeared in front of my face. "You!"
"Me what?" I asked.
"I'll fight you! Then after I beat you up, I'll get the guy who ran away."
Is this his response to him kidnapping me? It's better than him outright resenting me I guess. I'm surprised they would even be in the same room as me though. Figured they'd hate me.
"Now, now, no one should be fighting anyone," Ms. Inoa chimed while setting a plate of cookies in the center of the table. Nico didn't hesitate to grab multiple and started chomping away.
Zay pointed at me. "His friend started it."
"Nuh uh. Was a hundred percent you!" Nico snapped, his mouth full of cookies.
Are they the same age?
Ms. Inoa giggled and sat down next to Naia.
"I'm sorry for how he's acting ma'am." Naia apologized.
"No, it's fine. I don't think I've seen Isaiah this animated since—."
"Since I took them." I mumbled.
"Quese..." Naia trailed off.
"You can't change what you've done," Ms. Inoa said. "That is true."
My head sunk down.
"But you can change how you treat them in the future," She said cheerily.
But they won't want me in their lives.
Suddenly, a knock was heard at the door.
"I'll get it." Ms. Inoa said. She got up and left the room.
"Tucker's here right?" Without waiting for a response, he fled the room.
"Oh no you don't!" Nico ran after him.
