"you seriously need to go back before dawn or else you're seriously gonna get yourself in trouble," Sunoo started to mumbled out from the other line as Y/n could only sigh in response. She totally get it why they were worried, but she just can't let another day past without even knowing if Yubin was fine.
"I'll be fine, I just want to know it he's alright. I won't charge inside by myself,"
"uhm- I don't trust you?" Sunoo opposed on what she just said. "I really don't..." he repeated.
"of course you do, and besides... this would still be related to Wonjin, I can probably investigate things while I'm in there" she reasoned out. Well, on the other side she actually had a point there. She really want to know why was he willing to kill Wonjin, except for money and reputation... what was his real reason. Why was he daring enough to kill a person who's so much related to him.
"okay, just be careful... have you get there?"
Y/n stood up, sighing down for a second before taking of her hoodie and look at the seemed to he empty abandoned building in front of her. The surroundings were dark, and she also decided to not use any lights or stuffs that could light her way if ever people might be around. You know, cliché stuffs like body gaurds or something. It's not like she'll have the same strength for a day.
"yes..." she said to the call, staring at the building from it's lowest floor to the top, it basically has four floors and now she's thinking that this place is to big to find a single person and she must take everything seriously. And of course, she has to go back before Wonjin could even wake up. "I have to go,"
"be careful," Sunoo reminded before both of them finally ended the call. Actually, no one knows what she was doing right now, not even her uncle, Wonjin's friend and not even the officers inside the police stations.
After putting her phone back inside her pocket, Y/n walked towards the crossed fence before taking a deep breath and tried climbing, luckily she did make it, silently as she could before landing on the ground without breaking a bone. The place was quiet, so quite that it's already getting more fishy.
Finding an open door, Y/n creep inside before seeing three or four lights was only the one who's lighting up the whole floor, shadowing other corners of the place. But it was too late to turn back now, also... she wouldn't want that. She's already here, this was her choice.
Walking along side the shadowed area, Y/n soon reach a stairs that leads to the second floor or maybe even to the three more floors from upstairs. Not even thinking to turn back nor pray for herself, Y/n immediately silently ran up the empty stairs before reaching a hallway. Right now, her first goal was to find where Yubin could be.
Until she heared footsteps coming from the nearest corridor. Eyes widened, she immediately ran behind one of the walls before hearing someone talk. And infact, she knows that voice... there's no way that she could forget it. It hit her, and now she found him guilty.
"that kid is probably asleep... or he might probably be still waiting for her precious older sister to come and rescue him," the voice said.
"Joondae?"
"Y/n, are you okay?" Heeseung asked as soon as he saw Y/n entering the front door.
They actually stayed outside the whole night but decided to get inside the house as soon as dawn came. Wonjin was still sound asleep upstairs and who knows when is he even waking up. Y/n who was silent the whole time could only nod her head upon the older's question with a solemn look on her face.
She was both looking tired, confused and with a little bit of disappointment on her face after finding out what was literally going on.
"what did you find? Have you talk to Yubin?" Jay immediately asked, Y/n only let out a silent sigh before nodding her head, eyes glued on the ground that terribly worried the others. There was still beads of sweats upon her forehead despite of the cold morning weather. " you don't look fine," Jay added, furrowing his eyebrows in concern before patting the younger's back.
Finally collecting herself, she look up to meet the others. "is Wonjin still asleep?"
"gladly, he hasn't woken up since you left cause if he did then seven of us might have been taking care of a cry baby until your arrival," Jake said, crossing his arms while shaking his head. "and boiㅡ what have you done with kid? That's not the Ham Wonjin I know," he added, making the look on his face.
Y/n could only shrug her shoulder before walking towards the stairs that leads upstairs.
"she literally had the softest spot for that boy," Sunghoon said while sighing down.
"no one can beat Yubin, jokes on you" Ni-ki immediately tailed off with a laugh.
Entering the room, Y/n saw that Wonjin hasn't woke up yet. It was still too early and seemed like he's someone who can sleep all day just because he's lazy to get up. She sat down beside him and started to touch his hair.
"that kid is probably asleep... or he might probably be still waiting for her precious older sister to come and rescue him" those words, those words were one of the thing who broke her trust. She thought it was done, she thought they were both fine, she's not even found guilty of what happened.
But on the other side, she was thankful enough to have a word with her younger brother before she left the place. She knew so much after spending an almost hour inside that abandoned building, the evidence she had was just enough to justify someone's illegal actions, not just to Wonjin but also to someone who they were supposed to hate but ended up as the victim.
"My Mom? She can't talk, she can't walk, basically she can't do anything to stop me. I'll do this alone, I'll get that company by myself, I'll dispose that half brother of mine" those were the words left by Wonjun's mouth that threateneds her.
"Noona, you'll come back for me right?" the promise she made for Yubin was the only thing she can hold with right now. She can't even imagine the moment she had to leave him alone in that room just because she was running out of time and that two other person were also coming. Yet either of that, she made a promise aswell. A promise she would never fail.
"I will, just wait for me okay?"
The betrayal was all she can think of.
It wasn't Wonjun's Mom all along. It was only him. And now adding Joondae on the track. But why did he even came back?
"Are you okay?" a voice suddenly asked, waking Y/n up from her deep slumber after falling asleep on Wonjin's side. Seeing what she was wearing, a black hoodie, her hair was tied and seemed like she went somewhere else from the last counted houra because she was still wearing her snickers, Wonjin immediately got up in both panicked and confusion before examining her figure.
"Yah! Where did you even came from!?" he immediately scolded but ended up getting ignore as Y/n put a pillow above her face.
"Let me sleep for like two hours, I'll tell you everything later..." she shortly said, and then after that... She had once again fallen asleep.
While Wonjin, he could only sigh in response. His brain couldn't manage to answer his questions either, but instead of thinking too much he just decided to take off Y/n's shoes with her socks before laying down on her side, slowly taking off the pillow.
He smiled, but the worries were still there.
