22. [F/B] Taken Life

It all started two years ago. Everything was okay, everything was fine. Me getting up every morning, meeting my parents and ate breakfast with them and goes to school with Yubin and that happens every morning.

"Y/n! Wait for us!" and there they were, my best pals namely Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki. All of us had known each other since primary school, we're close like siblings, not just that but we tend to stick with each other most of the time.

And now, it's gonna be our last year in middle school. The time move so fast, once we were just kids doing nothing but play all day long and we're all on our way to adolescence.

Laughing, both of us walk together towards our class. All wearing our neatly washed school uniforms with our bag securely hanged from behind. "can you believe it?! We're finally in our last year of middle school, EIHHHHHHHH!!!" Jake shrieked.

"excuse me? Four of us exist!" Jungwon spoked, pointing at him and Ni-ki with Sunoo who's still gonna be stuck in middle school for another whole more while Ni-ki has two.

"How was that our fault!?" Sunghoon shouted, acting angry in a joking manner before sassily turning his to look away.

All of us only laughed as response as we all continues to walk.

Later that day, we all gathered on the same table to eat lunch, some of us were talking randomly about stuffs inside their class, Ni-ki and Sunoo were beefing at each other while Jake was too caught up reading his Math book while being feed by Heeseung.

"oh yeah, Y/n... don't you smell anything fishy with that guy over there?" furrowing my brows, I turn around to see who Jay was talking about, it was one of our classmate, Joondae. "he seemed to be pretty catching himself out with studying most of the time and look be obsessed to get your place on top one," he said, sounding suspicious about it.

"I don't know," I shrugged, turning around to meet my food once again, munching. "I don't care about it, I don't even know how I got in the top one in the first place," I said.

"that's because you're smart, stupid!" Sunoo who just cutted off useless conversations with Ni-ki spoked out and only roll his eyes in response after receiving a glare from me.

I thought everything's gonna be fine after those unleaded suspicion. Until one day, I started to get news about them beating up Joondae to tell the truth about him being obsessed with my place. At first I didn't pay much attention to it, yet surely it bothered me a lot.

It goes on for days, weeks, months and that when it started to bother my thoughts a lot.

I tried stopping them from doing so since it's not like something we plan, I know they were concern since ever since then, never did I fail and didn't made it to the top of the ranking board. But from the fact that six of them already had so much report from bullying ever since then made so much anxiety rouse up everytime I heard someone talked about Joondae being beaten up.

Actually, Hwang Joondae was a nice kid. He's just not talkative like the others and temped to be quiet most of them, but yeah... he's smart.

"haven't you heared?" I put my ears upon some of our classmates gossips trying to keep away my attention from the notes I was reading. "Hwang Joondae has beaten up in the rooftop again," with that, I didn't even tend to waste up any second before rushing out from the classroom, ranning my way towards the stairs that leads towards the rooftop.

Finally reaching the rooftop. Opening the door I was greeted by a hardly beaten up Joondae, face full of bruise as I saw seven of my friends standing before him, except Jake who was currently shaking in fear while covering his eyes, staying quietly on the side.
