Leaves of One Tree

Green, yellow and amber hues,

Some with violet veins, and white edges too!

Hundreds of leaves, together they grew,

Together they fell, together they flew

Away with the coming of the winter breeze

Never did they part, alive or deceased:

Friends for life, leaves of one tree.

Three legends of history drank at an inn,

Round, average and thin;

And yet when together, they were a fair trin

A sight both unusual and yet, pleasing

They duelled each other eccentrically often,

But to save the world would they unitedly hasten.

The San Yingxiong were friends for life,

Leaves of one tree.

Buddies may be as different as different could be,

But enjoyable and eternal, never failing to charm thee.

Open your eyes and heart wide, let them in.

Friends for life, leaves of one tree.

*Trin is a rare term for triplets

*San Yingxiong is Pinyin [Chinese written in English]. It means "Three Heroes"

And this poem was one written for NebulusCharlie's amazing series: WangXian Forever 5, Chapter 57: Mandolins. ISTG y'all should give that darling author's books a read, AND HUNDREDS OF READS AT THAT. Coz she deserves it. And she's amazing, you have my word for it.

Well, she IS my sister after all... *hair-flip ensues*
