This one was written for a Widlife Poetry Contest in my country, which I won, of course! *flips hair*

There are two versions for this one! First is happy for happy-ending suckers like NebulusCharlie and second's... more realistic, I guess. Enjoy both!

Green, brown, yellow, blue,

A million different beautiful hues

Her skin is dotted with lands galore

And people, with love and care she bore.

She wears a coat, a pellucid one;

It helps her to stay safe from the Sun.

But her children tear it off, day by day

And through the holes, the fire burns her fey

body; Her seas swell, and her lands dry up

She cannot protect herself anymore

She weeps and worries and wails encore ̶

Until her little ones begin to stand up.

One by one, they rise to fight

They speak, they strike, they step into the light

Their words are heard, they cannot be ignored, when

All they asked for is to live happily again.

Then one fine day, all the world comes as one,

With relief, with joy, for the young ones had won!

They celebrated and resolved to stop all their mayhem,

And Mother Nature beamed down lovingly at them.
