Chapter 35

Riley'a pov
"Hey. It's raining. Will you pick me up?" I asked Dallas.

He apologized for what he did and I mean you can't be mad at someone for a little thing.

"Yeah sure I'm on my way." He said before I hung up.

I grabbed my duffel bag and backpack before feeding Harley and waited for Dallas to come.

Once he did I walked to his car and he drove off.

I hate driving in the rain. It's more likely to crash and I just wanna be cautious.

"So. How are you?" He asked me and I smiled.

"I'm good. You got a redbull back there?" I asked him and he nodded.

I grabbed one and started sipping.

Alexis was dropping Parker off and Adam had an appointment.

"Hey here wait take this." He said giving me his umbrella.

"Wait are you sure? Why don't we just share it?" I asked him.

"I'm taller than you so... you'll still get wet." He said.

"Crouch bitch." I said.

We both laughed at my joke. He grabbed the umbrella out of my hand and came out. Walking to my side of the door. I grabbed everything and he opened the door before I got out.

He crouched a little and we both laughed and walked to the entrance.

After he shook the umbrella and put it in his bag. We walked to the library first since he works there for the first morning hours.

Anna's POV
"Fucking rain..." I mumbled reaching the girls.

They were standing in the covered up courtyard.

"Can we go in... it's fucking freezing." Sab said as we all nodded.

After getting in I grabbed another sweatshirt out of my locker that I always had on me for an extra.

"Anna. Where did you get that?" Eva asked me.

"I don't know..." I mumbled putting it on before smelling a familiar scent on it.

"Is that chase Atlantic? Bro you never get merch from anyone." Sab said.

"I don't know where I got it. I probably just got it from the mall." I said.

I turned around and all I heard was silence.

"Bro what is going on?" I said turning back.

"That's... Riley's sweatshirt." Dev said.

"And how do you know?" I asked.

"Take it off. Her signature is literally on the sweatshirt." Emma said.

It was a light blue sweatshirt of Chase
alantic and it was true. Riley's handwriting was on here.

"Okay but does it matter? No one will know..." I said.

"Anna are you fucking stupid?! Riley will notice!!" Eva yelled.

"It will be fine. I'll wear it until this one dries out." I said hanging my sweatshirt on the hook and closing it.

The girls were still anxious but left it alone.

We're hanging out in the middle when we decided to use the library for a minute.

"Dallas shut up!" We heard turning to see Dallas and Riley.

"Oh... my... god." Eva whispered.

"No! No Dall!" She yelled as they were practically rough playing.

I mean no one was in the library and Dallas was a helper in the library so he practically 'ran' the place.

The library filled with laughs of their voice.

"Oh shit. I got customers." He said.

He threw Riley on the bean bag before coming up to the counter.

"How can I he- Oh its you." He said.

"Nothing. Just like to get this." I said and he nodded.

He scanned the book and asked from my code.

"Oh hey." Riley said standing next to Dallas.

We made eye contact and she smiled slightly before looking at my sweatshirt.

"Oh you like chase alantic?" She asked me and I shrugged nodding.

"Cool. Same." She said.

I let out a really awkward laugh.

"Ight move along." Dallas said.

"Dall. Don't be rude. We talked about this." She said before walking away.

Dallas gave me a glare before giving a hand movement shooing us away.

I rolled my eyes and walked out with the girls.

Riley's pov
"Hey Dall I gotta go meet up with Alexis. I'll see you later." I said giving him a hug and leaving the library.

I was walking to the gym where Alexis was heading before running into someone.

"Riley! Oh hey." I heard seeing Rachel.

"Yeah hi Rachel." I said walking passed her.

"Hey hey wait. Your in English with me right?" She asked blocking my path.

"Umm yeah. I guess I am in." I said finally looking up to my ex.

"Can you help me with the English notes?" She begged me.

"Yeah.. yeah I can give you mine." I said and she smile.

I heard a group of girl starting to get closer when Rachel checked who it was.

"Oh shit." She whispered as her hands went on my waist.

She pushed me to the wall before connecting our lips.

I see in the corner of my eye to see Anna and her friends walking passed us.

"Oh thank god." Rachel whispered still trapping me.

"Uhm... Rach... move." I whispered.

"Wait...Riley..." Rachel said moving my chin by her finger guiding it.

Her hands guided mine to her waist before she smiled.

"Yeah... Rachel... I have to meet someone." I said.

Her leg was standing between mine trapping me where I couldn't move.

"I'll meet you after practice. You don't have a ride because you hate driving in the rain. I'll give you a ride." She said smiling and giving me a peck before grabbing her bag and leaving.

"Woah girl. You look like you seen a ghost?" Alexis said walking up.

"Yeah... no. No I'm fine lol." I said before walking with her to first hour.

"Hey Riley." I heard behind me seeing Anna.

"Oh hey Anna. Look I'm sorry for what Dallas acted this morning." I said putting my cleats in the bag.

"It's okay. He's always kinda had an attitude." She said laughing a little.

"Tell me about it." I said smiling.

"Well... I'll see you tomorrow?" She asked me and I nodded.

I walked out forgetting I didn't drive to school. Before I knew it a car pulled up seeing Rachel.

I got in and she smiled heading off.

Anna's POV
"What the fuck..." I whispered seeing Riley get in the car with her ex... my sneaky link...
