Once upon a time,
a victimless crime.
The humans were greedy folks,
the nymphs lived in their oaks.
Each existed not really caring about another,
Until riches were found from the other.
Nymphs were blessed with bounties from their gods.
Envy swirled from within them,
As the humans clenched their hems.
So they devised a plan to achieve it,
one where they were forced to submit.
For many years, they were successful
And the nymphs grew fretful.
It continued this way until a prophecy was told.
Now, a nymph's life is tied to something,
the human's knowledge of it helped in exploiting.
The nymph's champion would have hers tied to someone,
their only chance at their revolt being won.
And it was what happened,
just not the way they expected.
Her life as tied to the the human's champion.
The nymph's lady, Hyacinth.
The human's lord, Samson.
Their lives connected them,
where none could kill the other without perishing.
Yet, both their lives tied to the inhabitants of the country now as well.
So they live, even now as well.
