Chapter 20: Saving the Day with the Zodiac way

               "Is that Becca?" said Mr. Harlington.

"Take him down! Break him down! Into pieces of darkness, Sis!" said Becca's sister.

"Zodiacs..." said Darkiron as he cracked his knuckles.

"You're toast, Former Zodiac," Dewey cracked his neck.

The Zodiacs and Darkiron have a brief stare-off as the citizens watched in shock. When all of a sudden, the battle against the darkness began. Dewey summoned rams to attack the dark figure's projectiles, headbutting them one by one. Travis and Lauren summoned twins to attack Darkiron as they punched him on the face magically. Ashlyn summoned some bulls while Austin summoned lions, Shawn summoned scales and Denver summoned some archers to shoot arrows at him. Feeling injured by the attacks summoned by the Zodiacs, Darkiron started to shoot dark fireballs at them. But, the Zodiacs dodged carefully before Dewey glared at him with a angry expression.

"Uranus! Get him!" He ordered.

"Consider him wet! With the power of Aquarius!" Tiffany stretched her hands and summoned some water-bearers to throw water at Darkiron, affecting him.

"It's Cancer time! Moon!"

Becca nodded determinedly as she summoned some crabs to pinch the dark figure, magically before turning her attention to Meg, "Hit it, Chiron!"

"Virgo!" Meg shouted as she summoned magical maidens to attack Darkiron, followed by Colby summoning sea-goats, Lorraine summoning fishes and Jody summoning scorpions.

"Yeah! Megan!" Emmy shouted excitedly before talking to her classmate, "That's my pal!"

"This is getting so far!" Darkiron shouted.

"We'll see about that, Dork!" Dewey prepared to use his power before seeing that the dark figure has created a bigger dark fireball.

"Watch out!" Lorraine shouted.

"Take that!" Darkiron has shot the fireball into their targets, overpowering them easily as he laughed evilly.

"Yikes!" Becca's sister looked shocked.

"Travis! Lauren!" said Mrs. Linwood.

As a result of their defeat, the amulets began breaking apart in process. It seemed that the Zodiacs were defeated by the darkness. However, Lariah, in spirit form, appeared in Dewey's mind, "Dewey?"

"Lariah?" said Dewey.

"Are you Okay?" Lariah continued.

"I'm Okay. My amulet is broken and I have no choice."

"Dewey, you don't need the amulet. You're still strong and powerful. You and your friends have the spirits inside your bodies. Be confident." She reassured him before she disappeared.

Encouraged, Dewey found himself in his Astro-Zodiac form and gestured to his friends to come next to him and said: "Guys! We don't need the amulets!"

"Are you serious?" Lorraine looked confused.

"You gotta be kidding," said Meg.

"No, I'm telling you, We're still strong and powerful. We have the spirits inside our bodies! Let's do this!" Dewey smiled courageously, even his friends.

The battle continued as the Zodiacs kept summoning more to overpower Darkiron's dark projectiles in retaliation for defeating them in first place. The residents cheered as they watched the fight between them.

"Punch, twins!" shouted Travis and Lauren as some twins went to nowhere and punched Darkiron right in the face before the latter ended up being headbutted by a stampede of bulls summoned by Ashlyn.

"Nice work, Ceres!" Colby gave her a thumbs up.

"Never mess with the popular girl!" Meg summoned some maidens to attack the dark figure.

"I think that I'm going to wish that you won't take anything from me!" Darkiron shouted in anger.

"Oh, you deserved it!" Dewey summoned some rams to attack him.

"Oh, no..." Darkiron looked horrified before the rams headbutted into the sky. He screamed, screamed as he found himself about to die before he exploded into magic, restoring the planet earth and the Zodiac world to their former glory. After Darkiron's death, Lariah, Zerlina and the inhabitants of the Zodiac World saw their home being restored and noticed that the darkness is gone forever. The Zodiacs returned to their normal forms after their battle and reunited with their classmates and parents.

"Mom! Dad!" Becca hugged her parents.

"Becca! Thank goodness you're okay!" said Mr. Harlington.

"I'm Okay, Emmy. I got a tomboy streak," said Meg.

"Wow, really?" said Emmy.

"We did it! We did it!" Lauren hugged Travis and twirled him around.

"Lauren, you're making me dizzy!" Travis looked uncomfortable before Mrs. Linwood showed up.

"Dad, you won't believe what I experienced! I went into a Zodiac adventure with Dewey Burchett!" Lorraine explained to her father.

"I guess we did," said Dewey.

"Yep. That was cool," Becca hugged her friend while the former hugged her back.

The citizens cheered as their home is saved from darkness and everything went well. Three weeks later, Dewey came out of his house and went to the bus stop where Shawn awaited for him, "Morning, Shawn!"

"Morning, Dewey!" Shawn greeted before the school bus showed up.

In the elementary school, Lorraine, Travis and Lauren came out of the school bus and greeted before talking to one of their classmates, "Hello!"

"Hello!" said a young boy.

In Grimsley High School, Meg looked proud of herself having a replacement dress to replace the one that she ripped during her journey with her friends, "How do I look, Tiff?" She said.

"Looking awesome, Meg!" said Tiffany before she saw the school bus pulling over, "Hi, Dewey! Hi, Shawn! Hi, Becca! Hi, Ashlyn!"

"Hi there!" Ashlyn greeted her.

"Hi, Meg!" Becca greeted her.

"Hey, guys!" Denver showed up, "You won't believe what I am gonna do! Jody invited me for a date!"

"Jody?" said Dewey before Colby showed up, "Oh, hi, Colby!"

"Exactly! Jody! She's our classmate, Dewey! Hey! There she is!"

"Hello, Denver," Jody greeted him.

Ashlyn chuckled as she watched them going to the school, "What a cute couple. Where's Austin?"

"Hi, Ashlyn!" Austin greeted her.

"We feel so Zodiac, Dewey," Becca remarked.

"Right," Dewey replied, "Classroom?"

"Classroom."

The two friends laughed as they all went to the school with their friends. On the outside, they looked like ordinary kids and inside, they're Zodiac. The Astro-Zodiacs will always go on many adventures.
