A Pumpkin King and his Queen- Kliff x Artemis (OC)

Type: Nightmare Before Christmas, spooky but not really spooky stuff, fluff, and me really going hardcore with my oc x canon ship in this oneshot :)

And now onto the oneshot.

The time for Halloween was at hand once again, only this time it was very special for the town of the holiday itself. The Pumpkin King was celebrating Halloween with this time his Pumpkin Queen by his side, and their wedding had occurred at the beginning of the fall season with the entire town in attendance. Along with being married to the love of his afterlife, his Queen was crowned the same night, and the Pumpkin King was determined to have the best Halloween ever with his Queen...

The Pumpkin King was getting ready for the celebration on this Halloween, as his ghoul servants assisted him. "Here's your hat your majesty!" A ghoul servant said as it held up the top hat, before the Pumpkin King grabbed it and placed it on top of his red hair that was tied up in a low ponytail. "Thank you my ghouls," The Pumpkin King spoke with a grin before heading to the door of his bedroom, "I'll be taking my leave now with my Queen of course." "Have fun!" Another ghoul servant called out as the Pumpkin King left his chambers, while a grin appeared on his skeleton face.

"My dear are you ready?" The Pumpkin King asked towards the chambers of his Queen, "Halloween won't start if we don't get to the town square." "I'm almost ready my darling, you do like me looking extra terrifying for tonight do you~?" The Pumpkin Queen replied as her voice echoed throughout the halls of the Haunted Castle, while the King himself chuckled softly, "Alright my dear, I'll wait for eternity if I need too."

A moment later the Pumpkin Queen stepped out of her chambers in her dress made of the finest rags, while her white hair as bright as the moon was half tied in the back with an orange bow. The Pumpkin King's non-beating heart fluttered upon seeing his beautiful wife, and he took her ragdoll hand and kissed it tenderly after she descended down to the stairs to where he was. "My queen, you look ever so dreadful for this night." "You look just as horrifying too my king." His wife replied with a giggle before pecking his cheek. The Pumpkin King smiled with his skeleton grin before he and his wife headed outside the castle to the town square of Halloween Town.

"I sure hope this Halloween will be the most scariest we've had." The Pumpkin King spoke as the two walked together while they held hands. "It will be the most scariest," The Pumpkin Queen replied, "You are the Pumpkin King after all my Kliff, and you'll always be the most terrifying of all." Kliff chuckled as his skeleton grin spread across his face, "Oh Artie, what would I do without you my Queen?" Artemis giggled before the monarchs arrived in the square of Halloween Town. Kliff let go of his wife's hand before climbing up the stairs to the podium where the Mayor waited for him, greeting him with a nod before he looked to where the citizens had gathered to hear him speak. A moment of looking out to the crowd, Kliff Skellington began to address his loyal subjects.

"Greetings everyone! Who's ready to make this Halloween the most scary ever?" The crowd all cheered, clapped, and whistled in response as the Pumpkin King smiled, pleased with the responses. "Then let us give it our all! Let the holiday of Halloween begin!" Kliff said before the crowd cheered once again and disappeared to all corners of his kingdom to bring about the celebration. The Pumpkin King watched as spooks and screams were heard, while trick or treaters roamed about to collect candy or tricks. The celebration went on as ghouls, zombies, vampires, and more horrifying creatures scared humans, partied and danced, and gave away candy and tricks to mortal trick or treaters.

As the holiday began to end, everyone gathered back to the town square to scare and party some more. The citizens of Halloween Town came up to Kliff and greeted him, offering gifts and scares for him and his wife as a part of Halloween, and he thanked them with his skeleton grin. Kliff looked around with his pleased smile, knowing that this Halloween was the best he ever had in his reign as the Pumpkin King. But he quickly noticed his wife was nowhere to be seen among the partying crowd.

He looked around from where he was, scanning the crowd before catching a glimpse of his ragdoll queen picking up a wilting flower off the ground before slipping past the bars of the gate leading to the graveyard. Kliff smiled before getting down from the podium and followed Artemis to where they had shared their first kiss together. The Pumpkin King slipped past the gate and saw his Queen on the hill, sitting down as she started plucking the petals off the flower like she used to do when she was in love with Kliff.

Artemis hummed softly to herself as she continued picking the petals off, as a soft breeze blew by and swayed her white hair a bit. Kliff watched her from the bottom of the hill, before he took a step closer towards Artemis, beginning to sing a song familiar to him and his lover.

"My dearest friend, if you don't mind

I'd like to join you by your side~"

Artemis perked up before quickly standing up and looking behind her, seeing her husband approaching her as a smile formed on her lips. Kliff continued to approach her as he sang again.

"Where we can gaze into the stars~"

Artemis giggled as her voice joined with Kliff's, since she knew their song by heart after they had gotten together that fateful.

"And sit together, now and forever,

For it is plain as anyone can see,

We're simply meant to be~"

Kliff's skeleton hands held Artemis' ragdoll hands as soon as he got to the top of the hill. Artemis smiled softly as a light blush spread across her face, while her eye gazed into Kliff's black hollow circles that was meant to be his eyes. "Did you enjoy this Halloween my king?" Artemis asked, before Kliff chuckled softly. "It was the best Halloween yet, but my favorite part is being with you right now my Queen." Kliff replied with his smile.

Artemis and Kliff's faces drew closer until their lips touched in a passionate kiss, upon the same hill where they got together. A moment later the two pulled away as they continued to look into each other's eyes, sharing the same amount of love they had for each other. "Shall we head back and conclude Halloween?" Kliff asked, before his queen smiled, "Of course my love."

Kliff and Artemis headed back to Halloween Town, where they danced the night away under the full moon as everyone watched. Kliff and Artemis were definitely meant to be as they were the rulers of Halloween itself. Halloween was special because the Pumpkin King had his Queen, who he loved very much...

Happy Spooky Month everyone! I was planning to post this oneshot chapter on Halloween but I happen to be working that day so why not post it days before?

I hope you enjoyed this little Halloween special I threw together featuring my oc Artemis and Kliff since I love them both so much- Perhaps I can do a Christmas special on the side while working on future oneshots, but we'll see :)

Anyway I have 2 requested oneshot chapters that I'm working on behind the scenes, such as a DK West x Fem! Reader and a Eloni x OC that'll be very interesting to come up with since it's my first requested oc x canon oneshot chapter. In the meantime my requests are closed, so until I say they're open again do not request anything at this time, thank you!
