Chapter 2 : Kingsman is now Compromised

The small get together soon ended and a week has passed, Elena is now in the streets of London with Merlin

"How about her? She seems nice" Merlin points to a random woman as Elena walks with him "Merlin, I beg you, stop trying to set me up with people" She sighs "Oh my God, hi, you're Elena Bright" The two bump into a teenager "Yes, hi" She greets "My Mom and I are big fans, do you think you can take a photo with me?"

"Sure, why not"

Merlin gives way to the teen as she excitedly pulls out her phone and poses with Elena for a photo "Thank you so much!" The teen looks at Elena before saying goodbye "I think having a celebrity as a friend is beginning to be a problem" Merlin comments as Elena starts walking again "What? Do you think you're too good for the photo's" Elena quips and Merlin shrugs "I don't know, it's just that random people come up to you constantly, you're on a break for God's sake"

"Ok Mama bird, calm down, where are we going anyway?"

"What? I was following you!"

"Why are you following me in the first place!?"

"Wait, I think we should just head to HQ" Merlin suggests and Elena shrugs "Fine"

Elena pours wine for herself while Merlin sits in front of the control panel "How is Kentucky? Is it a good place to live in?"

"Why are you asking like Kentucky's a person?"

"Just answer the question"

"Well the part that I live in is peaceful since it's faraway from neighborhoods and all that, the closest grocery store is like a fifteen minute drive" Elena answers and brings the wine glass up for a sip "Take him out! Merlin! We've got a code purple! My drivers down, permission to blow these fuckers away" Merlin hears Eggsy's voice and immediately tries to go and help him "Denied. Cannot be contained, head south, I'm clearing the route" Elena looks at Merlin who was tapping away on his keyboard "What the hell?" She puts on her glasses and sees Eggsy driving "Gods what did you do know?"

"Elena? I thought you were visiting next week?"

"Focus on the road! You're getting shot at and that's what you're asking??"

"Shit! Merlin, I'm entering Hyde park. Can I get on with it? Merlin!"

"Dark zone confirmed, permission to fire"

"Oh thank fuck for that" Eggsy relaxes after shooting down the people following him, Elena notices the red dots on the monitor, indicating that the police are on their way "The police are on their way"

"You have thirty seconds before they reach your position, head straight to Rendezvous Swan" Merlin says, ordering Eggsy "Merlin, you do realize that I haven't even got a windscreen right now"

"I seem to remember from your training you were rather good at holding your breath"

"It's your choice , get caught by the police, or drown" Elena comments, Eggsy starts to drive into the lake and makes his way to the bunker, the water drains and Eggsy breathes heavily "It wasn't a revenge mission. Charlie could've killed you immediately. Not boasting, but I trained him well enough that even he wouldn't mess that up"

Elena rolls her eyes and Eggsy cuts Merlin off "Merlin, I'm sorry, we're gonna have to debrief tomorrow, I've got to get to a dinner and if I miss it, let's just say Charlie might as well have killed me"

"Well if you can't wait for police to clear the park, there's another way out in the corner" Eggsy heads to the designated corner and sees a sewer drain, he lifts off the lid and Elena sees something you'd expect from a sewer "Gods, that looks disgusting"

"Fuck" Eggsy grumbles "It looks so bad I can smell it from here" Elena gags, looking away "How important is that dinner?" Merlin smirks "Let me show you" Eggsy jumps into the sewer and Elena is both amused and disgusted

"Now that's commitment right there, still pretty rank"

"It's getting late, we should head to my house" Merlin offers "Yes, lets go, I've never seen your house and I'm really curious" Elena wastes no time grabbing her coat and handbag.

Merlin opens the door for Elena to enter "Thank you" She looks at the comfy aesthetic of Merlin's home "Wow, this is nice"

"There's a guest bedroom upstairs, you can stay overnight if you'd like?"

"A sleepover with Mama bird? Fuck yes!" She slips off her heels and brings it upstairs, Merlin looks at Elena as she acts like a child

"Do you have food? Or like anything edible?" She asks as she gets out of the guestroom in pajamas "I have crisps in the pantry and I can get popcorn"

"Can we watch a movie?"

"Sure"

"Elle deserved better"

"Tell me about it" Elena says putting popcorn in her mouth "Do you think I would make a good lawyer?"

"No"

"Rude"

"Hugh Grant is handsome but Daniel Cleaver is just a dick" Elena stares at the TV screen as the watch Bridget Jones's Diary

"Yeah, but we don't know much about Mark Darcy" Merlin adds

"I really liked his character in Love Actually" Elena adds "Bridget should just stay single" The screen was soon replaced with a missile warning "What the hell?" Elena looks at the screen

"Oh no"

Elena and Merlin head to the shop only to see rubble and debris "Someone decided to wipeout every Kingsman property, every Agent, and somehow, conveniently, you weren't home" Eggsy points a gun at Merlin, but he doesn't budge "I could say the same thing about you"

"What, you think I'd kill Roxy? And my mate Brandon, and my fucking dog?"

"No. You think we would? This thing" Merlin pulls out a metal arm out of a bag "Hacked us" Elena stays silent as she realizes that Roxy is dead, she gives herself a second to comprehend how bad the situation is.

"This ain't funny. Roxy is dead! Everyone's dead! Gone! Do you even care?"

Elena wipes her tears away and stands up straight "Pull yourself together. Remember your training. There's no time for emotion in this scenario. Now... As all surviving agents are present, we follow the doomsday protocol. When that's done, and only then... you may shed a tear in private."

"Okay. What's the doomsday protocol?"

"We go shopping"
