Teams

As I walked into class the next morning I couldn't help but wonder who my sensei was going to be. I already knew I was going to be on a team with the rookie of the year and the top kunoichi, which were Sasuke, and Sakura.

As much as I hate to be on a team with them, it was needed. I entered the classroom and opted to sit in the back again.

I was quite early so no one else was in the class with me.

As I watched people slowly start to fill in the class, I also listened to what they were saying. Some people were discussing who they thought was going to be on their teams, while others were discussing what kind of missions they were most excited for.

Iruka came in not too long after and had to use his jutsu to shut everyone up so that he could talk.

I tuned out his speech about how he was all proud of us, because I really didn't care enough to listen. No offence to him.

I waited until I heard my name being called, "Team 7 will be; Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Naruto Uzumaki. Te-" He continued on calling out the teams, but I tuned him out again.

I looked over at Sasuke, who looked to be debating whether or not he cared about me being on a team with him. I looked over at Sakura next, she seemed to be bragging to Ino about how she was on a team with Sasuke and how "True love always prevails". I scoffed at that.

However, she seemed to have heard me as she turned around the next second and started insulting me, "Ohh please, you probably don't even know what prevails means, therefore you have no right to laugh"

I only rolled my eyes at her antics, but stayed silent nonetheless. I couldn't really be bothered to answer her at this point.

One by one all of the senseis came by to pick up their team, well everyone except for ours. That answers my question from before, I knew of only one person that was always this late to something, Kakashi Hatake.

Well, this was going to be an interesting team.

Two ex-ANBU, one fangirl, and one emo avenger.

I don't know how far we'll go, but we can try the best we can I guess. The only problem is going to be finding something to motivate Sakura, maybe something about Sasuke.

Three hours, IT TOOK HIM THREE HOURS TO GET HERE!

I knew he was going to be late, but three hours?!? That was over doing it just a little bit. I waited for him to walk through the door, because I knew he was on the other side of it.

He finally walked through after a moment of waiting at the door for gods know what.

"My first impression of you is... you're all boring. Meet me on the roof in 5 minutes." He said before he shunshined away.

I sighed, this was going to be fun. Note the sarcasm in that sentence.

I opted to just walk up the outside wall. It was faster.

I waited until the others walked out of the classroom, then I opened the window and began my walk, or climb, I'm not entirely sure.

I arrived before the others did and just sat next to Kakashi. He looked over his book for a second before he indulged himself in his porn once again, although he refuses to admit that it's porn.

It took a few minutes, but eventually the others did make it up to the roof, and I was immediately greeted with screaming.

"NARUTO-BAKA, HOW ARE YOU HERE BEFORE US!!" Honestly, I wish Sakura had a mute button, sometimes she leaves my ears ringing.

"Umm, I walked?" I asked like I didn't know what she meant.

"NO YOU DIDN'T, WE DIDN'T PASS YOU ON THE STAIRS BAKA!" Why must she scream every sentence that comes out of her mouth?

"I walked a different way"

Sakura opened her mouth to retaliate, but Kakashi stepped in before she could, thankfully.

"Well why don't we introduce ourselves?" Kakashi asked.

"How do we do that sensei?" Sakura asked, trying and failing to look innocent, or pretty, it was hard to tell.

"Are we sure that she was the top kunoichi of the class?" Kurama butted in.

I jumped a little, 'You're awake?' I mentaly questioned.

"Yeah, I woke up a little bit ago." He answered my question.

'Oh, ok, well good morning then.'

"Well, why don't you tell us your name, things you like and dislike, hobbies, and dreams for the future." Kakashi deadpanned as I snapped back into reality.

"Why don't you go first, we still don't know anything about you yet sensei." Sakura was obviously proud of herself for thinking up whatever that excuse was.

"Um, ok? Well, my name is Kakashi Hatake, I like a lot of things and dislike some things, my hobbies, well you're too young to know, and my dream, hmm, never really thought about it." Sakura looked angry, probably because, in the end, all he gave us was his name, "Well, you next pinky." Kakashi pointed to Sakura.

Sakura growled, literally growled like a dog, "My name is Sakura Haruno, NOT PINKY!! I like, well the person I like is *Blushes while looking at Sasuke* My hobbies are, *Squeals lightly while looking at Sasuke, and my dream is, *squeals like she's dying, and gets a nosebleed*."

"Right well," Kakashi looked super uncomfortable, and I'm like 90% sure I saw Sasuke scoot farther away from her, "You next emo," Kakashi continued like nothing out of the ordinary happened.

Sasuke glared, but introduced himself nonetheless, "My name is Sasuke Uchiha, I like nothing, I dislike most things, and what I have is not a dream, but an ambition, I will revive my clan and kill a certain someone." Sakura immediately began gushing about how "cool her Sasuke-kun was".

I inwardly sighed, he still doesn't know the truth about his brother and clan, not that I was expecting him too, but I wish he knew.

"Okay, you next blonde" Kakashi's voice broke me out of my thoughts.

"My name's Naruto Uzumaki, I like foxes, strategy games, training, and reading. I dislike rapists, rude people, and those who cannot tell the difference between a kunai and the scroll that holds it. My hobbies are training and reading. My dream for the future is already accomplished." I said in my normal soft tone.

The others looked shocked at me, well everyone other than Kakashi, he knows that I'm like this. I smiled, clearly showing my amusement on my face.

I looked back over at Kakashi and motioned for him to continue, "Right well, tomorrow we are going to have a test, so be prepared."

"What, but we just had a test?" Sakura asked, clearly confused.

"Yes but that was only to weed out the hopeless ones. This test is the real deal, and it has a 70% failure rate. Meet me on training ground #7 at 5 in the morning. Oh, and don't eat breakfast or you'll puke." He said before he disappeared, only leaving a few leaves on the ground as evidence that he was even there to begin with.

I turned to look at the others before I left, "Eat, you'll need the energy."

"WHAT, BUT KAKASHI-SENSEI SAID NOT TO EAT!!" Sakura screamed, "ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME AND MY PRECIOUS SASUKE-KUN FAIL!"

"No, just trying to give you some advice in order to pass the test." I replied. I walked into the building before she could scream at me again.

I hope she manages to change at some point, but she's in pretty deep, I don't know if she can anymore.

I started the walk back to my apartment, making sure that I stuck to the more secluded spots in town so people wouldn't see me.

Ever since I started acting like an idiot, the beatings have been slowed, but not fully stopped.

I eventually made it to my house, luckily without anyone spotting me. I ended up studying a little more before I went to bed for the night.
